It's 2024, and I understand a video that was made 7 years ago better than what my lecturer taught in class. Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate.

I've seen a lot of videos on convolution with fancy graphics and gimmicks. This old fashioned one from almost 10 years ago blows those away in its clarity and comprehensibility
@cayezara81104 жыл бұрын
I spent many hours attending a refresher course and been watching lecture videos to understand this subject but none of them could really explain as clear and as simple as you did. You are a gifted Professor/Teacher as YOU ARE TRULY A DOCTOR (Ph.D.)! You can simplify a difficult topic into something easy to understand by students. I am a graduate in Electrical Engineering and preparing to take my FE Exam. I am thankful to GOD for you Professor and the people who uploaded this lecture video. More power to you. God bless you, Professor Kathleen and your family. I pray that there will be more teachers like you.

this is the best explanation on discrete time convolution in youtube.

The way you explained the concept was just wow,my professor couldn't explain this whole semester but you cleared in just less than 20 mins...! thank you mam ..

Thanks a lot, Kathleen. All videos I have watched until now they teached me the other way, I mean, to draw each graph, shift, multiply and sum, which was really difficulty to do in a short time. Now it´s much easier using the properties you described in here. Best regards.

It's been 7 years since you posted this, and as such you may never read this - regardless I write here that have helped me more than you know. Thank you for explaining this in a manner which my textbook, professor, and other youtube videos could not. I hope you have a wonderful life

Thank you kindly. Loved your step-by-step approach with no over-use of mathematical jargons and whatnot. Most probably, my semester will be saved by you!

Professor Wage, thank you so much for this presentation--you went over the material slowly and methodically and I was able to grasp it very easily. I was wondering if there is a shortcut method (maybe using discrete calculus?) to get this result in one step?

None so far before and after you have elucidated this well. Moreover they bring into play unit step functions which are easier to digest, yet doesn't give a more analytical approach i.e. analysing with intervals.
