I wonder, why the prophet introduced bakrid festival, which neither Christians nor jews follow, although it is related to Ibrahim or Abraham. Why kids are given knives and are encouraged to kill an innocent animal? This process is to instill courage to kill blasphemers, kafeers, murtads and so on.
@AAmed1980 Жыл бұрын
@@hsd4526 No... This is in commemoration of the biblical account of Abraham being commanded to sacrifice his son. Some jews have ritual sacrifice as do some Christians. Many Hindu's also engage in ritual sacrifice of animals, so who are they preparing to kill?
@hsd4526 Жыл бұрын
@@AAmed1980 Bakrid is observed by every Muslim family. Animal sacrifice by Hindus in India is outlawed. Only in few temples it is allowed. A specific person does the job where only select persons of that temple remain present. Children are not allowed to view. Don't be an escapist by comparing bakrid with ikka duka restricted animal sacrifice in Hinduism. 99% Hindus do not support this. 100% Muslims support bakrid. Govt is helpless to stop this mass animal killing during bakrid. Advise me, whether Hindus should be allowed to observe bakrid, like many Hindus observe ramzaan and host iftar parties. So in same way Hindus should be encouraged to observe bakrid by killing bakra. Bhaichara bhi ho jayega.

@@hsd4526 I don't know where you learnt it but it's not Islamic practice to give knives to kids. Slaughtering process itself is done by butchers now in most parts of the Muslim world. Kids cannot handle animals like that, it's just not in their physical strength.

The idea of there being joy in our theology made me pause and try to (unsuccessfully) remember the last time I felt true joy whilst engaging in a religious practice. The constant n o i s e that we are subjected to in our everyday lives permeates our very souls and before we know it- we're unable to tell where we end and the prejudice begins. Everyone's rushing to get an A in their faith by any means necessary and anyone who fails to toe that line or rejects it completely gets kicked out of the room. I can't help but feel extremely aware of how much my environment plays a role in this. The subtle and insidious ways hate has seeped into the words and actions we are subjected to in our everyday lives has shaped us today, leaving us free to strip away the humanity of whomever we're displeased with at any given moment. And that is a terrifying thought. To have that kind of power running unchecked within us, among us. Thank you for this insightful, empathetic and rational conversation! The fact that a majority of the comment section is concerned for your safety speaks volumes about the fear that prevails. The fear of asking questions, of calling out what needs to be called out. And the fear, of giving second chances. Peace!

I am a Hindu from Bharat. I can comprehend the risk you two have taken by having this discussion and I want to thank you for it. India has no blasphemy law yet every other day beheadings are planned and executed on account of the wazib-ul-qatl 'ness of a gustakh-e-rasool. Go back a 500 years(a blip in time in context of this ancient civilization) there has never been any such 'ijma' in this society. Debates have always been the norm here and i wish we can go back to that.

India does not have blasphemy law but it does have article 295 which is almost there. Under this countless people are arrested and jailed for insulting religion especially Hinduism, countless are linched, once only people screaming "Allahu akbar" were oppressing and forcing others, but today Jay Shree Ram has become the same war cry. If from the video you only learned that islam bad than I have news for you, India is actually trying to imitate Pakistan in this particular topic and become Hindu Pakistan. Go to any Indian video and you will see this vileness..

Dear Shehzad, I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for your recent podcast episode on the blasphemy law in Pakistan. It was nothing short of extraordinary, and I cannot begin to express how important and courageous your discussion was. In a world where fear and silence often overshadow the truth, you and Arafat stood tall and took the leap to address a topic as sensitive and significant as the blasphemy law. It takes immense bravery to tackle such matters, knowing the risks involved and the backlash it might attract. Yet, you both fearlessly delved into the heart of the issue, shedding light on its complexities and implications. Your dedication to discussing issues that truly matter is remarkable. While some may resort to social media campaigns against you, attempting to silence your voice, we all recognize their true intentions. They seek to hinder conversations like the one you had, for they fear the power of truth and knowledge. But please know that their attempts are futile, for your work resonates deeply within the hearts and minds of those who genuinely care. I want to express my utmost gratitude to Arafat as well. His grace in uncovering the truth left a profound impact on me. By the end of the episode, tears streamed down my face, moved by the labor of love he poured into his research. It was evident that every word spoken, every source shared, carried the weight of sincerity and commitment to unveiling the truth. In a climate marred by violence and erasure, Arafat's dedication to sharing knowledge is an act of daring and an inspiration to us all. This podcast episode goes beyond mere words. It touches the very core of our existence and the values we hold dear. It reminds us of the importance of honest conversations about love and faith. It urges us to confront the darkness that shrouds our society, and it serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating a path towards understanding and progress. Shehzad, your work and the platform you have created, The Pakistan Experience, are catalysts for change. You have brought to light issues that have long been ignored or silenced, and you have ignited conversations that are vital for the growth and well-being of our nation. Please continue the brilliant work you do, knowing that you have an army of supporters who stand behind you, valuing the truth and the courage it takes to share it. In this journey, trolls and detractors will always exist, but they shall forever remain irrelevant and unknown. The impact you make on the lives of those who listen, who learn, and who are inspired by your words far outweighs their noise. Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your exceptional podcast episode. May it reach the depths of the hateful hearts and remind them of the power of love, empathy, and understanding. Let us strive for more conversations like this-honest, enlightening, and unafraid. Together, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for all. With heartfelt gratitude and unwavering support, Saeed Risalat

Blasphemy laws also exist in india where the culprit could be given a sentence of 3 years, a fine or both. But Pakistan takes it to a whole new level by giving the culprit a death sentence!! I think the European Union has asked pakistan to remove this law by 2024 or they'll take back the GSP+ status given to Pakistan. Do you think there would any amendments after the warning given by the European union?

This law is one of the many other reasons that give me an opportunity to curse Zia the Hypocrite every single day. I have always been an ardent opponent of this illogical law that reeks of antediluvian mindset. This draconian law has to be repealed in its entirety otherwise the country will plunge deeper and deeper in the quagmire of religious intolerance and violence. This law is nothing but a convenient tool in the hands of those zealots who unabashedly use it to create problems of gigantic proportion for their opponents and other innocent people alike. A false allegation and the whole life of the victim is destroyed within few minutes.
