Good conversation as usual and to hear about different ideas. But Sorry to say that the honored guest really is trying to twist history (example as Shehzad challenged - on Pakistan formation on ground ideas) and international references around Federal states (Ethiopia, Nigeria and many others have civil wars. Quebec and Scots still have strong independence movements with over 40% support). Sind assembly might have had different expectations when joining but need to acknowledge the reality, otherwise his point of view doesn’t carry real weight.

I thoroughly enjoyed Jami Chandio's insightful comments on culture, language, and society - a fascinating lesson for an 80+ engineering student like myself! The intellectual prowess of Pakistan's experts and presenters is truly a societal treasure. Their passion for exploring roots dating back millions of years is like a fresh breeze. However, I couldn't help but wonder, 'what next?' for Pakistan's progress. Interestingly, the learned Professor seemed to overlook the 'millstone' of Kashmir, which, in my opinion, is the biggest hurdle to Pakistan's advancement. Putting this issue on the back burner could liberate Pakistan from numerous problems and eliminate the need for excessive militarization.

The identity crisis ties to economics. If one group sees that other group regardless of right or wrong reason ascend the socio-economic hierarchy, people tends to retaliate using identity as a means to promote themselves. It is very hard to resolve this issue unless we agree on the principles of social justice and merit and let the heterogeneous society evolves by embracing other cultures and identities.

The criteria is correct english not correct answer.

@@gauravmathur3142 Hindus and Christians each make up 1% of Pakistan's population, making it nearly impossible for them to win a parliamentary seat solely based on religious politics. In contrast, the situation in India is significantly different. India has: 4 Christian-majority states, 3 Muslim-majority states and a union territory, 2 Buddhist-majority states, 3 Adivasi-majority states, 1 Sikh-majority state. Population distribution in India: Hindus: 48% Dalits: 18% Muslims: 15% Adivasis: 10% Christians: 3% Buddhists: 2% Sikhs: 2% Others: 2% (Total: 100%) In Pakistan, minorities have specific constitutional protections. They are allocated reserved seats in the national and provincial assemblies, as well as quotas in government services. Furthermore, minorities can contest all general seats, but Muslim candidates cannot contest the reserved seats for minorities. This marks a key difference between the constitutions of India and Pakistan. In Pakistan, minority rights are safeguarded through these reserved mechanisms. In India, however, the constitutional representation of minorities is not proportionate to their population.

That's exactly my point. The mainstream is deliberately avoiding such intellectuals and ideological personalities.

Unity in Diversity is the CENTRAL to Indian thought process. Tribals,Dravidians Huns,Sakas, Arayans,Afgans,Ujbeks, Arabs, Persians and the rest are all part of India. There is no confusion The Constitution of India gives Equality to all hence it is successful to great extent. Pakistan is part of this philosophy. Better to accept reality and live in peace. Punjab is suffering because of exclusiveness after 1947 appears to be true NATION STATE IS A DANGEROUS IDEA. Excellent enlightened discussion.💐🌹

Jami Chandio is our respectable and educated intellectual and I agree to most of his narrative. Isn't it strange, the historical perspective he gave about Sindh and in context of Pakistan was taken from books of Sain GM Syed and yet he seldom mentioned the role of Sain GM Syed in that era including formation of Sindh United party (btw ZA Bhutto's father Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto was also part of this party) which won the majority seats of 1936 election, the first ever election after independence of Sindh from Bombay presidency. This party defeated both Muslim league and Congress in Sindh. And it was GM Syed who let the Sindh Assembly pass the resolution of Pakistan from Sindh Assembly without which Pakistan would not have even existed. As far as the future is concerned, this country which was created on the baseless identity is slowly but surely is moving towards its logical conclusion so expecting to do politics of vote and elections is making fool to oneself that it would change it's destination.

All Hindus have migrated to India , only few are left behind . Pakistanis in Sindh are descendants of various Arab, Turkic and Persian empires who ruled India .

Somedays you are descendents of Arabs, somedays you are children of turks and somedays mongols. You dont even know your own roots. But actually You are those hindus who converted due to the tyranny of invaders.

Love your Podcasts Shehzad bhai♥♥♥. 1:05:01 Loved the way he explained how Sindhi culture is alive but Punjabi culture isn't because Punjab saw partition. I don't exactly agree with it, Indian Punjab has lots of religious diversity and has remain peaceful. I think Pakistan studies should teach religious harmony so there would be more tolerance towards other religions. I have seen whenever any scholars come they usually see religions as different, but as Indian and having lots of Gods help place other religions God at same space. We don't usually see Eastern religions different as Hinduism itself is extremely diverse and nobody can claim mine is the only way which is a problem I have seen with western religions. People being very religious would follow these scriptures and people who became liberal don't really give too much importance to religions and see all religions as same.
