Ennis is right. This squad isn’t good enough. It doesn’t reflect the salary cap. Which means management have made poor decision after poor decisions and this is what you’re left with. There’s some players that deserve to stay but they need better players. More rocks and diamonds like TPJ is the opposite of what they need.
@jamesbrennan73553 жыл бұрын
I love how Tamou said "it's up to us to fix this". That's the point. Stop blaming management and the coach. It's the 17 players that are letting the club down. They are the ones losing the game. Nobody else. Finally a bit of honestly from a player that isn't making excuses and blaming other people.
@dbo45063 жыл бұрын
Very true but also look at the squad mate. Management put that team together. They offered teddy max 700k then told him to walk when he didn’t accept. 4 weeks later they sign josh Reynolds for 750k. That’s just one example of many that have built this roster. Tigers have let a a top 4 team walk out the door. Papenhuzyn, teddy, Moses, ado-carr, Marshall (twice) and plenty more. Every teams priority is a good 1-6-7-9. We’ve had nothing in those positions and we don’t sign anyone worth while in those positions. That’s management. Laurie is class. But we are singing jimmy the jet Joey leilua, TPJ and the like…. All rocks and diamonds players that gift penalties like it’s going out of fashion. Buy better!!

@sdi11113 жыл бұрын
It's probably a combination of factors. If there is poor rapport between the players/coach/management, then this is what happens. Yes, a lot of players haven't the dedication to become champions, but if the club management supports them, then they can rise to great heights. The salary cap should be used to pay every player in a team the same amount of money. Every player in the NRL should receive the same amount of money. This would stop players from the greed that exists in all forms of professional football. What do the poor fans do? Do they follow the player or do they follow the team?

As a Tigers fan, all our problems started when we let Benji go the first time and then mistreated Robbie Farah. The horrible retainment of players is because of this. The reason why players chose to join other clubs was because they saw how club legends were mistreated and how poorly managed the club is. With Tim Sheens back we can finally stop losing players like Tedesco, Papenhuyzen, Moses, Patterson, Addo-Carr, Koroibete.

The problem actually started when Tim Sheens got let go at the end of 2012 then all the things you said. The players we've lost goes on, so many forwards we have lost as well it's not even funny. It's gonna take forever till we're good again. At least we used to come 9th but even that has ended now. Even this year for example, what does the management see in James Roberts? He's not the same player he was, why do they keep selecting him? Joey Leuila was actually in form during round 8-11, but roberts fit again they don't select Leuila. Makes no sense!! Don't forget this is the same team who took Rabbitohs to the golden point. We've always had the talent, it's the mindset!!

There is an easy solution to this problem...Let every player in every team receive the same amount of money....no matter what team they join. Why TF should one player in a team get a lot more than another? This causes resentment and upheaval in a team of players. If every player was to receive the same amount of money, then this would stop players from roaming for better money offers and would bring stability back to the game. Loyalty would return and greed would be exiled...sad, but this game has lost its honesty.
