If the person is just licking a dog’s penis the relative level of harm is probably really low since licking doesn’t actually do any damage and I doubt the dog cares about our social prescriptivism on what is right and wrong, they simply have no concept of it. Twitter is a platform hard-geared into garnering interaction, not to mention that the *algorithm itself* spreads tweets that have caused outrage twice as hard if not more than any other type of post. I got this tweet near the top my timeline and I don't use Twitter for anything that would warrant seeing that on my timeline. I was forced to see it. Assuming what she said was nothing but gruesome lies for farming clicks from platform-wide disgust, then the amount of people ignoring her wasn't enough to tip the scales and stop her from profiting off of it. Charlie's video on the topic proves this, as well as the fact it exists in the first place. It means it was widespread enough for him to witness it as well. You can thank Twitter for pushing this post into everyone's faces.

It's no longer just a place to bond with, learn from and have fun with each other. It's truly and in all likelihood irreversibly capitalized upon. What I mean by bringing this up is that social media platforms like Twitter don't *actually* care about making themselves better place for everyone. It's a company first and foremost, and cares the most about making money from advertising and selling user information to aforementioned data collection agencies. It is after all the way in which their business model makes them money: More users > more content being made and more content being viewed > more data collection and more ad revenue > more money for the platform. This means they'll show you "whatever you want to see" which in reality is whatever you might respond to. This means the algorithm is working to show you whatever it takes to get you talking, be it good or bad. It means forcing you to see something you never asked for, and showing you terrible things because they just so happen to cause the kind of commotion that makes money. The only time harmful or evil content is removed is when it becomes a liability to the platform by threatening to harm their image to a large enough portion of their users. If they don't do at least the bare minimum, they'll lose reputation, thus active users, thus the money they could've gained from them. Unfortunately, they can perfectly afford to do the bare minimum to keep up their image of good will. Twitter is one of the handful of websites on which most of internet users spend their time and people are their currency. Where else are they supposed to go? Even these conversations we're having are making money for KZbin and other social media platforms. Where else are we supposed to go? Money is the focus and money is power. I wish I knew how all this could get better but I don't, and that sucks.

If you believe that behavior causes the paraphilia to form then you're mistaken, fetishes are what's malleable and influenced by social and behavioral factors. Neurological studies by paraphilia researchers have strong evidence pointing towards it being inborn however not genetic, at least what the science is currently concluding. Micheal Seto has books and years of research on these very topics. And Dr. James Cantor also done these sorts of research, he has multiple interviews discussing the topic and on top of that they've posted their hour long videos discussing the process of how they've ended up with their conclusions.
