Dishonored 2 - First Ever Sub

I don't know a lot about speedrunning dishonored, but why will sub 19 never be reached, even tho sum of best is sub 19?

@@xxxxxfrigometrixxxxx Should never say never obviously :) but with current strategies - there's always that caveat that maybe we'll somehow someday figure something out. But the way sum of best works is that it's the best time you've had so far, in each segment combined. So in order to match that time, you would have to get either a better, or atleast the exact same time on each split - on every one of them in a single run. If you look at this run there isn't any single mistake that loses me 26 seconds, hell there's barely any that lose me 2.6 but it's all the tiny things combined that make up that "timeloss". Some games and more importantly some runners who are extremely consistent in their games, can come EXTREMELY close to their sum of best like I'm talking seconds. In dishonored 2, and especially for me I have never gotten closer than around 15~ seconds from my sum of best in a single run. So that's the kinda buffer we kinda have on the time for now :) Hopefully that explains!

On my first run, I solved the Jindosh lock with paper and pencil, I thought you actually had to put the names in the order they sat. Since I wanted to explore everything, even though I solved the lock already, I went into the Dust District and found the note with the code. I wondered at the time why it didn't tell you what order to put the names in, but now watching this run, it's apparent the order of the names doesn't matter, only what trinket that is associated with them.

Oh we got some new skips with corvo that basically balanced both of them out. I can't say exactly how fast Emily can be as I haven't optimized her as much but that's the next goal :)

@@enquestt theoretically yes but we haven't tried to optimize ng+ as it's not a leaderboard category and it comes with its own issues like bonecharm traits are kept and runes etc.

We play on the easiest because you get the most mana from potions, that's pretty the only thing that changes. Fall damage would be higher on higher difficulties, but not enough to change the route.
