I may have missed it, sorry if I did. This is my tip, Feeding a friend at Remy's gives the biggest increase. You can go from level 1 to level 4 with one food item. Huge bonus.

I think giving food at remis basically acts like another favorite gift. They also pay you so I always try and feed my villagers.

@@MishaDenise90 Ahh, Good to know. Since what recipes they request are based on the ones you have already learned, it would be beneficial to learn the higher energy/cost food only and only learn the lower ones when you have to. Maybe.

I mostly will hangout and do favorite gifts to level up. I've stopped trying to Speedrun anything in the game though. I try to remember ddlv is my cozy happy space, no need to rush everything.

I heard from a friend that souffle is good for this too. Normally I just garden like crazy, even if that's not what they like and it works like a charm.

Purified Night Shards definitely works the best in my opinion! I only needed five of them to get a character from level 7 to 8. The only downside is you have to have enough night thorns and dream shards to have enough to craft a lot of them. This video is an excellent way to show what you can use if you don’t have enough to make purified night shards! Well done!

i just give them their favorite items for the day, it increases their level pretty good unless their like level 9 then it takes a few days. I also give them a job and use them when collecting/gardening or fishing and mining

I mainly use farming and make my new characters gardeners to start with then after they reach level 10 I can change them if I wish :) great video. Thank you for the effort you put into this.

I give them their fav food and wait for them to go eat at Remy’s it helps lvl them up faster also have them tag along with me and do the job they’re assigned to and just focus on that task and they’ll eventually lvl up

Thanks for the video! If you’re considering the time it takes to level up the character and concluding that cooked food is faster than gems, then how long it takes to cook the food should be factored in as well. This is assuming we have a stockpile of gems and cooking ingredients ready to go so the time to acquire those materials isn’t a factor. ❤ I also wonder about characters who don’t “eat” like the Toy Story characters. Are they coded the same way? 🤔

I always thought the amount the item gave you in friendship went down as you repeated the item so you had to change it up. I could be wrong but I always thought the more I gave of an item the less they liked it over time.

I find flowers to be the best way. Yes you need hundreds to max out the friendship, but the time to collect the items is faster.

Nope, I tested cheap vs expensive gems, no difference. Also expensive fish is worse then the cheapest flower
