Mulan, in my opinion, has the greatest music in the scene where she takes the armor and cuts her hair! That drum machine & synth always gives me the feels! When my kids are watching the movie, no matter what I'm doing (cleaning, dishes, laundry etc) I have to run to the television and blast the volume; it's that good!!

I wanted to hug you when you started talking so passionately about why you love Mulan. Because I too felt so happy and moved watching this video. Mulan is my favorite Disney princess because my dad was the one that introduced it to me and loved watching it with me growing up. I'm gonna show this video to him ^^

Such a fitting DTD because June Foray (Grandma Fa) died so recently. Mulan is such a boss film, and the visuals are so gorgeous. Her love for her family and downright selflessness is so admirable, and I adore her. And you, Sarah! Really excellent video!

As a kid, my fav Disney movie was The Little Mermaid. As an adult, Mulan is hands down my favorite. I LOVE all the songs! Ugh so good. Also Shang is so dreamy.

Mulan is the first movie that I remember seeing in the movie theater. I was four, and I was so overwhelmed by the whole experience. It's such a great movie.

Mulan is my favorite movie! I loved the fun tidbits in this video! A couple of other fun facts: When I was in elementary school a children's book writer who did a version of Mulan and worked on the film came to speak, and apparently at one point they were considering having more than one dragon! They ditched it because they felt the dragons were taking over. Also, apparently B.D. Wong, who did Shang's speaking voice, had singing experience, but they decided that Donny Osmond's singing voice sounded more like B.D. Wong's speaking voice than B.D. Wong's!

Finally! Mulan has been one of my favorites since I was little and I would always wanna watch it even when other people didn't want to(sorry not sorry to my cousins who wanted to watch something else) and Mulan was my inspiration to be a badass even when other people tried to bring me down. I would love to see Brother Bear or Princess and The Frog for next month but I also wouldn't mind Sword in the Stone either :)

Last time I watched Mulan, I noticed that all the clouds and smoke were made of little swirls, resembling traditional Chinese art style. I've always loved this movie, but the animation and design of everything made it way more magical last time I watched it (it also took me a good bit of time to take a break from randomly quoting Mushu lollllllllllll)

Let's not forget about the voice actor for Shang, BD Wong, who is a fantastic stage and screen actor (Jurassic Park, Law&Order, Kim Possible), and also has a lovely singing voice (1999 Broadway Revival of 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown', with Anthony Rapp and Kristin Chenoweth)! But seriously, my roommates and I watched this movie at least once a week in college. So good. And I never knew about the CGI work, but as soon as you started talking about the wildebeast scene, I could see the connection!

I would also argue that she was the first Disney Princess to not be 100% feminine. I used to play Mulan with the boys and girls in my neighborhood and the boys would sometimes argue over who gets to be Mulan
