I adore this movie. I love everything about it. I can't wait to play this with my kids in the fall. I imagine the horseman moves faster in 3 and 4 player games with a miss giving the horseman a possible 8 cards worth of movement.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I agree that the horseman will likely move farther with 3 or 4 players but we haven't had a chance to try it.

In the book, they do talk about the horse. They say that he was found without his saddle grazing by his master’s gate (Ichabod borrowed him).

@@GamesRuleDoctor I first read it in sixth grade, fell in love with it but hadn’t seen the Disney movie yet. The Disney movie is a very faithful adaptation though there are some differences in Ichabod’s journey home and when he encounters the Horseman (they left out the haunted swamp with the log bridge where Ichabod meets the Horseman, and it’s less “he sees a headless man and immediately runs” and more like a build-up along the lines of “he meets a stranger on horseback, the man follows him for a bit and then Ichabod gets a better look at him against the night sky before he runs.”). Also the tree is much more detailed in the book - it’s called Major Andre’s tree.

@@GamesRuleDoctor You’re welcome. Also, it’s worth pointing out that the bad guy doesn’t necessarily win, because Brom isn’t necessarily the bad guy. It took me a while to fully pick up on this - but it’s not really the bad guy who wins, it’s the antagonist who wins. Ichabod is the protagonist, but that doesn’t make him a good guy. In fact, if you really pay attention to the story in general, even if you don’t read the book, you’ll see that Ichabod is really not such a good guy.

I was going to say it was fun how you mispronounced his name. Thanx for sowing it. The official promo video is well done but ti's nice seeing it played. The spinner is fun. It looks like playing with the ? =4 card would be better to get more interaction between them or at least tension. The sculpts and artwork are very nice. The Johnny Depp Tim Burton Christopher Walken version Sleepy Hollow movie is fun.

@@GamesRuleDoctor After you've played it a few times what's the win-loss ratio? I'm on the fence about picking it up. I'm swayed by the cool tree spinner no pun intended and the artwork and mini sculpts. This game the Headless Horseman was 23 spaces back which seems anti-climatic but you did have 3 of 4 pumpkins. It kinda feels like a disconnect between the actual horseman miniature's chase and the purple horse spaces to flip the tokens.

@@amusement420 After playing it a few more times, the 4 movement side is needed. We did lose once out of three and it was still too easy with the 2 side with three players.
