In a park that can barely justify a full day ticket rather than a park hopper, taking away anything is bad business. Sure, the line for Muppet Vision many be small, but the capacity for this new coaster will be at best equal to the capacity of Muppet Vision. What this means is when everything is finished the overall park capacity does not increase, is only shifts existing visitors around. I wouldn't say that Monster's Inc. as a franchise is unwanted. (A whole miniland is excessive for a single ride but that is true for literally any Disney brand.) The ride that is in Japan is consistently one of the longest lines in the main park. Now, if Pro has insider knowledge of what the ride will be that is another story. (Once again going back to what I have been saying about Disney over promising and under delivering when showcasing upcoming projects.) As for the comment about the roller coaster being less thrilling then it should be. Once again, not all rides are built for Disney Adults. (Nor should they be.) They aren't competing with The Hulk at Universal they are making rides for families. But, let's be honest, by the time kids are about 4 feet tall they have significantly less interest in Pixar properties. They would be better off doing Marvel, Star Wars or another tween/early teen property. (Not saying that's what Marvel and Star Wars are, just saying they include that demographic.) I do agree with Pro that this is the wrong approach. Moving the Muppets to Aerosmith isn't the right move. (It should have been Powerline anyway.) They are almost certainly changing it to reduce the royalty fees because everything they do recently is about cutting costs. Also, just adding Muppets to Rockin' Roller Coaster doesn't change the fact that Muppet Vision is being removed. I don't care if it has the traffic of Mr. Lincoln or Carousel of Progress or if it has more traffic than Smuggler's Run. Muppet Vision 3D is a piece of history and it's removal is a sin, period. There aren't many rides or shows this applies to but Muppet Vision is one of them. I also agree with Pro about park visitation, I am in that boat of I may or may not go to Universal, Knott's, Bush Gardens. But, DVC or not I will not be going to Disney. (Unless it is in Japan.) But, it will be fun seeing the look on the employee's face when I say I am booking a week in Orlando with DVC points as a hotel for Universal. Bottom line, Iger *has* to go. The train is full steam ahead until he does.

Moving Monsters Inc Laugh Floor to Muppets 3D, would that mean they'll finally address the crap hole that is Tommorrowland? Stich area, Laugh Floor is another waste of space. I dreaded the rumours of them replacing Aerosmith with a doors coaster, but I'd prefer that to this mess. Disney aren't listening to their guests. But then why should they when people keep turning up.

What disney should do is retheme Rock n Rollercoaster with The Cars theme and just update and move the Muppets to the Cars area. When i think of rollercoasters, i dont think of Muppets.

Out of all Disney's IP why Monster Inc? I mean there's so many better Disney movies to make "impressive" lands out of! Also this is the worst thing Disney has done!

Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea convince me it's much better to have 2 strong theme parks near each other than 4 diluted ones. Although the 2 parks in Paris, certainly the Disney Studios park (Adventure World), aren't too ideal either. The 2 parks in Anaheim are sort of between the caliber of Orlando & Paris. If Walt E Disney were alive in 2024, he'd probably want to merge his company with the Oriental Land Co than Robert Iger's toxic swamp of a corporation.
@ThemeParkZilver2 күн бұрын
This exactly. Disney needs to be improving its weak Orlando parks not replacing existing things. But every time something new is announced something gets replaced. When people talk about a fifth gate I laugh, Orlando doesn't even have 3 yet.
@msemtakКүн бұрын
Another idea is retheme rock n roller coaster, and put muppets in the racing academy theater and make that all muppets. And you talk about the immersion. Tron, cosmic rewind, Tiana. Last check those are just rides. So like you said why can’t it just be a ride.

The coaster layout is perfectly fine. Its a family inverted coaster with a really low hight requirement. BGT and Fun Spot Orlando have similar coasters.

I honestly wish they would’ve done monsters inc land over in the animation courtyard, there’s way more space and it’s a dead area right now there’s not much to do there except for three meet and greets and then there’s that indoor Star Wars area for launch bay because then they can keep Muppet vision 3-D which they spent money on fixing like putting in brand new seats and making the film, digital and updating the effects, like why would they spend all this money on fixing the attraction when now they’re just gonna get rid of it it just seems like a waste of money on their part now

The problem is that the Animation Courtyard is just a front for office buildings. If you remember, when the part first opened, they gave a tour of the offices since they did some animation there. They should just build a new office building so they can just demolish that whole area and use it.

@@hopejordan2997 No it's not. It's a hoax. Disney is getting broken up and I look forward to Galaxy's Edge closing and all Pixar and Marvel attractions due to Disney being broken up. To quote Dumb and Dumber, "Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this." I swear to God, is Bob Iger just the living embodiment of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. Because only a moron with the intelligence of Peter Griffin would be this stupid: Let's keep Star Wars Launch Bay (despite it being mostly empty because of fan apathy for the franchise due to Iger and Kathleen Kennedy's poor mismanagement of the brand) and instead replace one of the most beloved shows and original shows at the park (not to mention the last remaining projects that Jim Henson was a part of before his passing). If they take out this and Star Tours out, then that will be the final nail in the coffin for Hollywood Studios for me. They took out the Backlot Tour. They took out the Great Movie Ride. And if they go through with it and they take out Star Tours, then there's really no point in justifying spending all that money to go for just three things (Toy Story Mania, Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic) since all three of the formally mentioned rides are some my favorite attractions. If I do decide to go, it'll be to park hop to close my day out with Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic. Hollywood Studios went from being arguably my favorite park to being the absolute worst park at Disney World, courtesy of Bob Iger😡😡😡

Disney could easily convert the Launch Bay into a Q line for the Monsters Inc ride. They gut the office building and the parking lot and put the ride building there. That would give them plenty of room. Both of those buildings were built for the Animators when the Disney/MGM Studios park was first open.
