I wohld absolutely make a compaint to Disney about the lack of car seats. You are 100% correct in your concern and being upset, and I'm surprised this was even legal. Busses are designed differently using compartmentalization and a higher level of safety.

Feeling the waves for the first 24 hours is DEFINITELY a normal thing. So when Dean said he felt waves and swaying while sitting I laughed out loud because I still remember that feeling, even though my last Disney cruise was in 2019 😂

I certainly appreciate you sharing your story. We travel with our toddler twins and run into these types of situations all the time and makes things chaotic but our Disney land and sea trips are always memorable and we never regret what we may have gone through traveling with 3 very very young children.

I absolutely understand the concern about the car seats! I also understand that in the moment it’s difficult to know what to do or how to articulate your feelings fully. Honestly I’m kinda surprised that anyone would have come without car seat let alone Disney but clearly they dropped the ball somewhere … I mean that can’t be their standard for travel right ?? I know you were all tired and ready to be home. It’s so disappointing when you are so excited for something and then it doesn’t pan out and going home feels like the retreat. Trust me I’ve been there. I hope everyone is feeling better now and able to fully enjoy this Christmas.

I'm glad you guys made it safely without carseats. The person that set up the transportation should maybe have a different responsibility. Carseats are a basic transportation need when traveling with children. The smaller the vehicle the higher the risk of injury. I look forward to a successful cruise in you guys' future. The reason I love your videos is because you are real and positive. I have been in many Disney cruises and just like in the park when a ride is closed we move on and do something else, and we still have fun. We did a Disney Northern Europe 11 nights and some days we stayed in the room. In 2020 we did the Caribbean and it was at sea all the time the sea was so restless and Covid was coming up. Cruises can’t control the weather so we just adjust and still have fun. 😊

Usually they start kindly telling everyone to leave at 9:00am if not sick. Sea Legs is normal, I love the feeling after. Hope you guys get to go again one day

I would have been so uncomfortable with the car seat situation! TBH even going on the buses without a car seat makes me nervous. We have a cruise later this year and we’ve been debating on driving or flying and I think this just made my mind up for me. We’re driving! Yes, I know we’ll have to pay to park but it’s definitely worth having our own vehicle with car seats.

I would have been pissed without car seats. Personally I wouldn’t have done that with everything I know about car seats, but that would have been such a hard situation. Especially when you’ve been dealing with everything else. What a stressful ending!

What nausea medicine do you recommend for littles? Mine will be 3 in 1 week and while we haven't had issues flying before lately she has developed a more sensitive tummy. Have a Disney world trip next month!

There is a significant difference between a large coach bus and a mini van and it is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE that Disney put you in that situation. Please call and follow up with guest services about this.

I’m pretty sure transporting children without a car seat in Florida is illegal. I would bring this up to whomever you can because this is not right. We’re not even talking the drive from hotel to park in WDW. The distance between port canaveral and Orlando is a pretty long one…

Geez that’s so dangerous for them not to provide car seats in a van. And also against the law. I’m surprised the driver was okay with it! I would definitely complain about that to Disney when it was forced on you to do it that way.

Oof...that makes me very unhappy hearing about Disney transportation not having car seats for the girls. I know it's in the past now and they're safe, and I'm so glad! You all are wonderful parents and I completely understand where you were coming from. But that is illegal and extremely unsafe, and that is their responsibility. I'm not trying to shame you in any way by saying that! Hope I'm not coming off that way! I'm sorry they put you all in that situation. I wish I could call and bring it to their attention. Car seat safety is crucial. That said, you all handled the ups and downs like champs. I hope you guys get a cruise re-do soon that is completely magical. ❤

Totally understand where you are coming from. Sadly taxis and shuttle buses are exempt from car seat laws so that's probably why they didn't feel the need. Looking back I wish we would have done something different but was so tired and caught off guard we just hoped for the best. 🫠 Thank God it all worked out but will 100% be requesting different transportation if that happens again.
