To everyone complaining that Hope was beaten too easily, think about this: would you REALLY have wanted to see Hope be evenly matched and trading blows with a frickin’ GOD?!?! Wouldn’t that have cut out ALL the tension if he wasn’t an actual threat to her? This entire season (and the past 3 ones as well) we’ve seen Hope absolutely obliterate all of her opponents. It’s nice to see her come up against someone she actually needs to use her wits against and not just her powers. Keen to see how they beat Ken.

Yea I don't think thier mad at her being beaten. They are mad the writers are making them wait to see her and the god really fight and probably that she used a fireball literally 1 fire ball when we know she can use more powerful magic!!! She didn't even try cause she was trying to keep everyone safe if she was using her power to really hurt the god for real I'm sure the sky would turn red, glass would shatter and fires would brake out I'm sure the school, forest and town would be completely distorted from them fighting.

She wouldn't die because he wouldn't have the right stake to kill her with. Nore would it know the right weapo. Unless someonetells him. I don't know how she would survive decapitation. Apparently not even that could kill an original. So why Hope? Vampire would have been down faster or killed. Ken did throw a lightening bolt at Hope. We don't know if any other vampires could have served that. Normal vampires can be killed so easily. Not just by a wooden stake. Nothing but a red oak stake can kill Hope and if there's any left. There's probably only one. I can wait till Hope shows these gods her true power. What she's truly capable of.

In this show the "God's" (whom are based off the Greek pantheon) are more like aliens than actual God's. It was originally stated they were from another world (not sure if that means a different planet or a different dimension, cause their is other dimensions they have been too). So these beings are more like aliens (like Superman) than God's. They did not create the world, universe, or humans, its not even their native lands. They came here and realized they were so much more powerful than everyone else was and chose to rule over them.

Tbh I thought they would they would explore Hope being guilty about playing a small part in Hayley’s death even though she obviously didn’t mean to … and also, Hayley was the one spent more time with Hope when Klaus didn’t see her for many years. If anything, Hope should have been just as close to Hayley. It literally makes no sense that Hope only mentions and acknowledges Klaus as her parent. In fact I think the only time Hope mentioned Hayley was in season 2 when she told Alaric that she is Klaus and Hayley’s daughter???

You mean to tell me these other creatures have existed this WHOLE time and not once have they encountered these random ass beasts and monsters and gods? C’mon now. That’s just lazy piss-poor writing you are literally going through the diary of all supernatural/mythological entities and just throwing them into this series for lack of storytelling. And yes I know about Malivore but his story/existence as a golem is another example of piss-poor writing, they literally turned this stuff into X-Men/Harry Potter. One easy way to beat Gods is by creating another Malivore. Witch, Vampire and werewolf blood can create Malivore. So if they can get the spell from Aurora. Cleo, MG and Jed's blood with dark magic Malivore spell. It'll work.

Okay so I'm wondering what Ken meant by "It took me a lifetime to learn how to control all my power." He seemed to brush Hope off like she's nothing. But with Lizzie, there was almost a familiarity there. Like is Ken so powerful because he siphoned other gods? Maybe Ben became a full god via siphoning? Like maybe siphoners are merely just demi-gods who haven't siphoned from a god in order to gain their god powers. Honestly, I'm so excited to see what'll happen with Lizzie this season. The whole series the closest thing we’ve had to a singular antagonist was death itself and Hope’s destiny to become the Tribrid because Malivore was always so peripheral until season 3 when he started doing dirty work himself. They fought against destiny so hard so when they embraced it and Hope’s main enemy became herself it was such an interesting change of pace… of course they had to go all the way to the very top of the magical food chain for the next antagonist. Wonder if putting Ken down will leave her permanently Nerfed in some way, like she always has a hand tied behind her back from that point forward like Raven in Teen Titans who has to constantly use some of her power to maintain the spell to keep her father trapped. Or maybe Landon will keep Landivore’s powers when he comes back and he can consume Ken. Maybe Hope as a NOLA witch needs to become the new Regent and use her 1 free no questions asked unlimited power spell to put Ken down… unless Ancestral magic ALSO doesn’t work on him.
