Cars Land Team Goes on a Route 66 Research Trip | Disneyland Resort

This video just goes to show the amount of detail these Imagineers will put into their work to make these attractions so accurate. It's simply amazing. Although I can't make the opening, I will certainly visit the resort this summer to check out Cars Land in all its glory.

With Cars Land and Buena Vista Street DCA is up to the level of quality seen at Tokyo DisneySea. DCA is now second only to Tokyo DisneySea.

Cars has made me want to drive the entirety of Route 66. Based on the pictures of Cars Land (and this video), it seems like a very beautiful drive.

Some of the finest work that Imagineering does is how it researches and distills these places into the theme parks, from the Victoriana of Main St. to the Art Deco of the Tower of Terror to Route 66 in Carsland. Each land is like a visual encyclopedia from which I taken innumerable ques in my own home decor. Some day I'll actually drive Route 66 too. I've been on the brief stretch between Flagstaff and WIlliams , AZ, but I want to see more!

It's great to see that so much time and effort was put into making this land come alive, but here's a thought... If you have to go to places like Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Illinois for inspiration, maybe this land doesn't really belong in a park called *California* Adventure...

It was an attraction at Disney California Adventure that lasted less than a year. Michael Eisner loved it. Everyone else hated it. It has been turned into Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. It originally had garish cardboard cutouts and celebrities that were already irrelevant in 2001. It was one of DCA's attractions with Whoopi Goldberg in it. It was bad even for a county fair.

And that's what makes The Disneyland Resort different from Walt Disney World. In Florida their theming is very generic and not much thought put into it. A perfect example is Disney's Hollywood Studios. A mish mash of "Hollywood-ish" stuff just thrown together. At Disney California Adventure, a lot of research, thought...and heart...went into designing Carsland and Buena Vista Street. That credit goes to John Lassiter. He's a Disneyland Guy.

It can be in DHS because Cars Land is based on a Movie.Just how Disney Junior live on stage is based on show.Just like Toy Story Mainia is based on Toy Story.Dont say anyhing else,When Cars Land comes to DW,its there.DHS or the 5th park.I dont care which one,It matters that its there

Did you watch the entire vid? At the end, the Cast Members kept on asking "WHERE IS IT?!" next to the "HERE IT IS" sign. I found it to be funny enough, I had to have some fun with it in my comment above.

1.I go to both Disney World and Disneyland twice a year 2. Not everybody can go to Disneyland and are closer to Disney World so it would be nice if the disney parks share most attractions.3 you dont know that cars land isnt coming to DW. Its obviously not coming anytime soon.but it'll come. You never know.I have family members working for disney and I learned from them the 5th park rumor is true and Cars Land may be in DHS or the 5th Park

There is more than enough creativity in Disney's imagineering department to create unique attractions for each park around the globe. There is no need to replicate Cars land in WDW or anyplace else. ... that said... the WDW speedway needs some serious re-work Disney.

What I'm trying to tell you is that it doesnt NEED to be based off Hollywood to be in the park.Fantasmic is in DisneyLand.In fact,Disneyland/Magic kingdom doesnt make sense at all! Disney can do what it wants

Cars Land will NEVER come to Walt Disney World. Disney Art of Animation Hotel is too similar to Cars Land and Test Track is too similar to Radiator Springs Racers. If a Cars attraction comes to DHS, expect Cars Quatre Roues Rallye from Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. Walt Disney World deserves Superstar Limo.
