Blue Beetle Reviews are out with their first impressions and to repeatedly tell us the geographic region the cast comes from. I'm just not sure why that would make me go and see a movie. Set a film in Liverpool and I'm still not sure why it should make me go and see it. But this movie has nothing else seemingly going for it, and the cast themselves think not marketing the movie is on the right side of history. So for a movie that wants to have multiple movies spanning 12 years, they're really not putting in much work to make it a success in the first place! Now we can sit back and wait to see if it releases more like 12 or 30 million dollars....But what do you think about Blue Beetle? Has their marketing made you interested? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

And he's not expressing any regret about that... he's saying he WANTS to stick it to the company that paid him for his work so they get nothing from it. While that might be the right attitude from the union's perspective, his present and future employers have a perspective too, and they will be right to be wary of hiring someone who is happy to destroy them after his checks clear. There was a diplomatic middle road here and he didn't even TRY to take it.

Given the writers and actors are over paid for the quality of their work I would respect him more for crossing the picket line. This strike is stupid. The actors, writers, and executives all deserve massive pay cuts. Besides that $1000 per day for a part time job is a fucking wonderful pay rate compared to almost fucking everyone else in the States. You want more then take on some of the risk of the movie or TV show flopping. Though I do agree with transparency and protecting your likeness. Besides that it isn't so much the victors that write history as much who writes the most about it that makes the narrative. Just look at the American Civil War and how it gets talked about. Hell for WW1 plenty people nowadays seem to recognize that shitshow was more than Germany's fault. Even if post war everyone was happy enough to absolutely blame them for it.

The thing is, Blue Beetle comics did have values. Jaime was about Respecting his family; hence why he told them about his new powers cause he didn't want to worry them. He respected the past, hence why he tried to live up to the legacy of Ted Kord and Dan Garret by taking what they had done and learning from them. But sadly, that sort of thing isn't allowed in Hollywood anymore, so a once great character has been boiled down to "Look guys, we got a new super hero and he's LatinX, please give us your money!"

The problem with the "Batman is a fascist" line is that it isn't a "throwaway line". The writers and director included it for a reason, they wanted to slap the faces of those they feel support Batman, who they absolutely believe is a fascist and therefore, so are his supporters. It was a direct attack on the audience. They just didn't think the audience was smart enough to recognize they were being attacked.

In America the holiday Cinco de Mayo is officially observed because American alcohol brewers knew that latinos drink the most on that day and wanted in on that cash cow. They're the ones that lobbied for it. Lets not kid ourselves, ethnicity in the US is only means of commerce. It has nothing to do with being on the right side of history.

For that matter, Saint Patrick's Day is just an occasion to sell green beer and decoration, and is nothing like what happens in Ireland. This isn't necessarily a failing, however. It's okay for America to have different holidays than other countries, and it's okay for America to celebrate the many other peoples that have come to America to make it a new home. There's nothing inherently wrong with these ideas. In the end, ALL holidays are just excuses to go out and have a party for no particularly good reason.

Just to give context. It’s not that he’s lazy or doesn’t want to promote his film. He and all other actors are forbidden to do press or promote any movie under the AMPTP because of the strike as per rules from SAG. We’ve been given strict list of guidelines to not promote, attend conferences, or any press whatsoever by our union. Him saying he wants to be on “the right side of history” is referring to him not wanting to cross picket lines, not because he has a massive ego. I’ve had friends who’ve worked with Xolo. He’s actually very gracious and humble. Hope this gives some content y’all. While I appreciate the honesty of this channel , I think there’s a slight disconnect in a few of the opinions voiced here but in either case I appreciate you keeping it 💯 Respect to you Sir

@jabyalex7868 It is that deep. This is about far more than pop culture. Europe and the west are being invaded, these people are helping that invasion, too dumb to see that when it happens, their new rulers will not be the slightest bit tolerant of their indulgence. Females will have the same rights they’re afforded by the invaders in their home countries. The last decade has been about weakening our social values and dividing our nations, butchering our children, silencing any discussion with accusations of horrible personal traits. Led by people completely out of touch, and often people who are openly hateful of their own nations. Wait until car bombings become more common than school shootings. These people will still push forward with their anti-western agenda.

@@EmilePesky-n1v The promotional tours are basically a holdover from when Newspapers were begging for movie-related recognition. In essence, a bunch of newspapers noticed that the Oscars were popular (Which are awards given by the industry to itself for what they consider exceptional accomplishments within the industry) and they wanted a piece of that so they created the Golden Globes (Which were awards given by newspaper editors with no connection to the industry that they gave to movies they personally liked) and made it look like a big deal in order to sell newspapers, despite being essentially a useless award. This got carried over to TV and they still do it because they’ve been doing it for 60 years now, and it’s basically free content for TV stations. To be fair, Blue Beetle's family and friends were a big, and great part of the comic book. I would love to see a good movie of THAT! (but probably won't get anything even close to it)

3:27 From what I remember Jaime had problems keeping the scarab from killing or trying to kill practically everyone around him cause you know it was created by ancient enemies of the Oans(Guardians) whom are conquerors.

At least in his debut it's not a movie that should deal with heroic arcs if family members or at the very least they should be far and away barely focused on compared to his relationship with the scarab.

They didn’t choose to do a blue beetle movies out of respect for the fans or because they think the characters cool. They only did it because the character is Hispanic so they can meet their diversity quota to raise their ESG score

This movie apparently has a budget of $120 million. So the most impressive thing, is that someone has managed to embezzle $100 million without anyone noticing. There is just no way you can spend $120 mill on this garbage, even if you tried.

He’s how the movie it going to play out - hero either finds or is giving object the grants super powers - as they learn out to use said object they cause a good amount of property damage - they initially keep it a secret but reveal it to a close friend or in this case the entire family - uncle Ben type character tells them all the good they can do with this power and how it comes with great responsibility - villain searches and finds the missing/stolen object and demands it’s return - hero either refuses to return the object or said object has bonded with hero and cannot be removed without injury or death - someone close to the hero is kidnapped by the villain with plans of world domination - hero either goes through a quick training montage or suddenly knows how to fight and use the object in a expert manner - mows down a couple dozen of henchmen - villain starts to monologue as the hero tries to use the talk no jetsu on them - Hero and villain face off - hero wins, saves the damsel in distress and save the world - *insert* post credit scene to set up sequel/franchise

i think you should research what the SAG memorandum actually implies. That's why it can't be marketed properly mid strike. that prohibits even so much as tweets promoting the movie

We all know that the characters audiences really want to see are The Authority, or the Creature Commandos!

Me not, tbh. I was never a big fan of the authority to begin with. Could be I stopped reading it too early, but it was way to depressing for my taste. And here comes my issue with movies right now, the constant destruction of classic heroes and franchises is already very depressing, so why should I watch a movie that will most likely be more of that? So even if they get it right for once, I would just not like it … not really a great expectation to get me excited on.

My gut says this is sarcasm and I laughed, but I'm actually not sure if this was meant to be a joke or not. Whatever creature commandos is, it's got to have more mass appeal than this movie.

They really meased up. What they shooukd have done is Flash before all this, do the actual Flashpoint story with all the actors from all the previous movies, then use that to erase everything, recast everyone then have Gunn's Suicide Squad, then go from there. Moat importantly Gunn should have made his plans clear from the start.

Well I mean, Chris Gore did lambast Disney's Star Wars for IKEA chairs. Wait, no...he's still doing it. Rightfully so. So maybe real chairs are a bigger deal than we gave them credit?

I don't know if Jaime Reyes randomly being chosen to be Blue Beetle one day is accurate to the comics or not, but it does sound like what happened to the Green Lantern. In Superman: The Animated Series, Kyle Rayner is an artist for the Daily Planet who gets hit in the head by a Power Ring in a bathroom. It can be done right.

How do you mess up a character like Jamie Rayas, the thing that made him suck a good character is his pure genuine heart; this is a guy whos deepest darkest desire was to be a dentist with a 4 digit salary so his parents would never have to work again

When I saw Nick Fury in Iron Man, I thought it was an inside joke that the comic book faithful would understand, not necessarily sequel bait. But when Stark appeared at the end of The Incredible Hulk, it was then I wondered if something special was going on.
