Awesome! Glad to see you guys made it to my stomping grounds. Been all over the woods around there. Looked like a great trip, and what an amazing campsite along the creek! Just got myself a trailfire grill, can't wait to try it out 👍🏼. Thank you guys for bringing us along on your adventure to beautiful southwest Washington, cheers! 🍻

Thank you! Yea it was so unexpected. We’ve never caught anything on our fly rods before. The Trail Fire is always a go to for sure. It was definitely a beautiful area. There were so many other campsites that were amazing.

That cod looked mouthwatering. Looked so fresh! What an amazing campsite. And to sleep by the stream...just crack open the bedroom windows a touch to let the breeze waft in and listen to the calming effect of the water moving. And 'Chelle looked SO PROFESSIONAL, with her waders. Boy, you guys ARE EQUIPPED! (Some folks strap their traction boards to the ladder...you keep them in the garage....are you concerned about theft?).
@ekkonesters5997 ай бұрын
Hey Robert, I hope you're having a fantastic day! Thanks a bunch for tuning in to our video again. The cod was indeed incredible, and Michelle really scored with that perfect cut from the market. Our campsite was an absolute gem, spoiled by its beauty and serenity. The soothing sound of the water added to the evening. Michelle managed to reel in a fish on the fly pole, a first for us! Regarding the traction boards, I've thought about putting them on the roof, but the safety concern of getting them up and down dissuades me. Attaching them to the ladder doesn't sit well with me either. However, I'm working on a product that could secure them to the rear interior or exterior garage door. If I opt for it, probably the interior side for safety. The way I load the garage varies for each trip, but most items stay inside with only a few exceptions. How's everything on your end?

@@ekkonesters599 Gr8! I purchased frozen cod steaks from Costco. They are packaged with 5-7 filets in a zip-lock pouch and each filet is individually wrapped...select which filet you want (keep just two in the Ekko freezer, they won't occupy much space); thaw, rinse...and voila! Sprinkle on some spices/rub, or briefly marinade them (I sometimes use Saucy Susan Orange)...pan fry or use the Trail Fire Grill (which you make appear so essential!)...One spice/rub I recommend: Badia (brand) "Sazon COMPLETE seasoning" (again, Costco)...works great with fish, poultry, even steak/burgers. Whenever I use this everyone says, "WOW"...it does the job. I'm shopping for a new car and have momentarily delayed any final decision with purchasing an EKKO...I'm single and many of my friends tell me "You will be SO ALONE" that "you'll get tired of it quickly"...plus I live in a NYC apartment so parking/storing the EKKO won't be easy and isn't cheap. I'll rent one for two weeks to get a taste...if you know of anyone who rents, or any suggestions, I'd be eager to learn from you. All the EKKO owners I've met said: "Just do it!" (and supposedly, I won't look back). Plus: ownership requires one carefully examines the costs...insurance, camping fees, etc etc (you know the deal better than most)...I've got to put that together also. Thanks again, you two are SO ENCOURAGING, so positive, so energetic! No wonder Winnebago asked you to "model" for them in their M-B Ekko platform videos/photos. They couldn't have chosen better!

Really enjoy your videos….you guys need to visit Newfoundland to really have a fabulous RV experience, I’d suggest July through to September as the best time of the year and you will find many great RV parks and endless safe places to boon dock with absolutely magnificent ocean views. We have an EKKO and a Trail Fire which make for great outings. I suggest you will need a minimum of 6 weeks to explore this beautiful part of Canada…also many great salmon and trout fishing locations for you to set up and enjoy.

Hello Chris, Thank you for the kind words and fantastic recommendation. Sounds like an amazing place with plenty to explore. So cool to hear you too have an EKKO. If you don’t mind, what inspired your decision on the EKKO? Yes the Trail Fire is the best. We are definitely going to have to figure out how to head North at some point. Keep in touch and thank you very much for watching our video. It’s always fun to see the comments and connect with people.

With the Trail Fire I noticed you had a lot of yellow flame. Don’t you find that the yellow flame leaves lots of black carbon on the bottom of the wok. Is there a way to keep a blue flame to prevent the carbon residue?
@ekkonesters5992 ай бұрын
@@johnplisinski9607 hello, thanks for checking out our channel and our video. In this case, typically I would turn up the gas. That will change the flame.
@johnplisinski9607Ай бұрын
@@ekkonesters599 Turning up the flame just creates more yellow flame that causes the carbon buildup. How far up do you have your lava rocks? 1/3, 1/2 or more the depth of the Trail Fire? Would bringing the lava rock and therefore the start of the flame closer to the pan get more blue flame? When making pizza I was getting carbon on the pizza as well. Can’t be healthy.

So, usually when a pan high centers and sends liquids to the edges, it's because the pan has warped from too high of a heat. Is this the purposeful design of the wok or user error over heating and warping the wok? 😊 If it's over heating, is it just too easy to overheat or just your cooking style. No wrong answer, I have warped many pans. Im just wondering about how the product holds up to heat. I love your videos and the future flashes of my dreams! ❤️❤️❤️
@ekkonesters5997 ай бұрын
I think the angle of the camera might’ve thrown some things off, but I know exactly what you’re saying. I actually moved the pan off center of the grill often times to allow for room on the grill and then to disperse heat across the walk at accordingly. No, it’s anot warped or anything. It was simply also that the ground was not very level and I was using a small pinecone. Plus, the walk was on the edge of the perimeter of the fire pit, and I intentionally did not have it sitting on the gratefully sorry for any confusion. I hope this answer helps.

Do you pre-cook the corn before you put it on the grill cause I'm gonna try making it on the stove with them with the walk, so do you pre-cook or does everything? Does the corn cook in the walk? Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes I should say recipe I hope other people request the same looks so good.
