My favorite Kirk Hammett solo, just a masterpiece.

+Luis D. Navarrete yeah this is like one of the hugest releases I've ever heard, all the fucking brutality leading up to this and then you hear something so refreshing. I think you nailed it, this is a masterpiece.

Like most of his 80s solos in the end. Kirk was a badass lead player back in the day.

@Bryan Darby rhythm changes to a C power chord, the song is in E minor so the "C chord" in that key should be major strictly speaking but he plays that descending run in C minor, and it's bloody lovely

Man! this reminds me of why i loved Metallica so much. this is back when Kirk Hammett was one of the most exciting and influential guitarists on earth. those incredible, zany, off-the-wall solos, drenched in wah wah, all beautiful and frantic and melodic and terrifying - and James Hetfield crunching away in the back, with his bruising, crushing atonal riffage. two uniquely different players making some of the most original heavy metal ever. what happened? anyway, thanks EddieAteDynomite.

before he started ruining everything with a wah pedal and then quit playing solos all together. James and Lars shut him down and ruined him. They would not let him play solos and he probably thought hey if I cant use them in my career why bother practicing them and wasting time with it.
