The whole game looks shiny, clean and bright. Plus too much open maps (just like 2042) and not enough infantry or close quarters which sucks cause most guns are for close quarters. Plus too many tank dominated maps and not enough good equipment to even take them out unless your whole team helps but usually they’re all spread out at different command posts while your stuck with two-three tanks alone at C☠️

I was told the military advisor for DICE, that developed the 2042 maps, was an Iraqi solider that fought during Desert Storm. He said the maps were designed based on his experiences. Wide open battlefields, and being decimated by air and land vehicles.

5:12 I really liked the dog tag system in BF4 and BF3 and hoped it would make a comeback. Whenever I saw a guy who was not facing me or prone I would usually run up and knife him to see if I could get new dog tags or to just get the satisfaction. Now Dice creates these generic dog tags and makes it to where I don’t even want to try and melee a dude to get them because I know its a waste of time. I also hoped they would bring the knife (quick-time events I guess?) back where if a guy ran up on you and tried to kill you with a knife you could counter attack and kill him but now you just have to run up behind somebody and get a kill with no effort whatsoever

The best combat was the melee from bf1, it was so much fun and intense getting up close and clubbing someone, or running with your bayonet through a field to get to someone. Way better than just using the knife

6:18 i really miss different animations for different positions. Also executions in BFV felt smoother and more responsive. You could see them from different perspectives, they were shorter and happened immediately. Now you need to wait sometimes even a second for the game to just change the camera position of only two players and do the animation. I don't mind third person, I just want them to work properly. About that prone thing, I have a simple solution. If the animation takes standing player down to ground, and that player is prone, don't pick him up from the ground, just cut the first part of the animation when he's standing so it starts "after takedown"

The worst was that smile on his face. He did not look happy to see us, to be finally safe after all he went through. No, he seemed like he enjoyed every moment of it. We were staring at our comrade, no one dared to make any kind of noise, almost as if something horrible would happen if we did. Angel was the one who broke the silence. "Yeah, Angel does it again!" He spoke in a cheerful tone. "That's was something, right?" None of us responded. He's resting in the living quarters now, I can't bring myself to sleep. I feel Angel hasn't really returned from that camp.

The price drop is something that happens to a lot of games if they’re trash at launch. They’re trying to recoup some of their initial expected sales by convincing people who were previously on the fence. Fallout 76 dropped to like $30 like 2 weeks after it released. At one point, it started just being included for free if you bought something at some sellers (funny enough a lot of people still didn’t want it)

Damn, have a little sympathy. I have played and preordered all the battlefield games since bad company. Im a huge battlefield fan. I expected a buggy launch. I didn’t expect it to not have a scoreboard, server browser, and only have 2 game modes for all out warfare. I was actually able to get a refund and will never preorder a game again. Lo and behold on launch day, no one was raving about the game. It was a shit show and still is. The sad part is that they can patch everything, have this go from a bad game to a great game, but at its core, it will still be a bad Battlefield game.

What I've noticed with EA games is that they care too much for the "general audience" and making things "inclusive" and "approachable." But these are all traits that make for bad games. If you want to make a good game, you need to make decisions that shape the game into a set direction. Going the broad route that tries to appeal to everyone just makes it bland and not worth playing. They don't want people to feel bad for losing. They want everyone to feel like they helped or are winning in their own way. But if everyone wins, then there is no point in playing in the first place. Why bother showing up if you already know the outcome? I played BFV and hated it. I'm not even gonna bother with 2142. The last BF game that I played and actually loved was BF3. I'd love to see more of that sort of game. No gimmicky weather effects or "levolution" or w/e it's called. Something that's focused, less of a confusing, frantic mess. Something that makes you feel a sense of accomplishment when achieving objectives.

Older games had user created dogtags, and the variety was amazing on the whole. If I saw one which was notoriously difficult to get (or searched it up afterwards because they looked cool and distinct), then respect to that player. Some were included with DLCs and so on, but all the really rare ones *had* to be earned. This makes them infinitely cooler than a whole matching character/gun skin set which you can just buy. Get outta here with that shit.
