The game doesnt have hackers: not because theres an anti cheat. There were hacks available and a lot of people streaming with hacks enabled. But because the game has no incentive to hack because it doesnt run well and because why would you hack against bots and not have others see how well you did.

@@thunderkatz4219 it’s enjoyable but doesn’t reach our expectations. You can play for a few hours because matches sometimes last a while and there’s portal modes, but it’s easy to get to level 60 (basically max level because it gives the sniper), but after that it’s pretty boring

Maybe zero hackers when you filmed this but starting about 3 days ago I've personally been killed by or see at least an avg of 1 per game. There were like 3 that kept killing everyone on a discarded match by no clipping and another dude was flat out teleporting around with a shotgun, killing you then disappearing

@@Itsshaunbewarned I’m not bashing those people, it’s the people who constantly complain like this KZbinr, and then still play the game. It’s just hypocrital. If the people who complain stop playing the game, this wouldn’t be a problem. But of the 2000 people a day playing, hundreds still complain yet they play the game. If they stopped, dice could just pull the fucking plug. Because whether YOU like it or not, the game is objectively bad. On top of that it took resources from other titles that people DID actually like, and killed those for this garbage. Battlefield is dead. It’s done.

yeah, we still keep play 2042. mainly HZ, tho no voice chat makes it little difficult to play together since I'm on PC and friends on PS5. but I can use PS remote play to connect to my PS4 and use party chat. can't wait for next month's update. we can finally talk to newbies who don't know how to redeploy safely.

I gave up after the fact Season 1 isn't even out yet. Matter of fact I gave up after they took 1942 Classic out. The portal mode is what saved the game and they messed it up by, taking out the Classic game modes and set up.

I have over 130 hours on the game and the reason why is because I was stuck on the loading screen with the ship for two hours at launch so I couldn’t refund then and when refunds for over that were allowed I’d played for long enough (because I thought there was no chance of getting a refund) that I couldn’t get the refund then.

1:48 That graph also tells you something else, beside just how awful (and consistent) the player drop has been. The purpose of a free weekend is to get fresh meat into the grinder, and _keep it there._ You can see the player count curve started back it's downward path a little higher than it started. That small bump are the players that stayed. What you want to happen is see a spike during the free weekend and the least amount of drop back toward the original curve. Unfortunately, of that very tiny bump, I expect most of it was due to regular players sticking around a little more than usual due to easy noob kills. In short, the free weekend effectively had NO effect on BF2042.

@ 3:52 that’s been a glitch since Battlefield 4. Something to do with the Frostbite engine I imagine. in Battlefield 4 you could do this with tanks or LAVs and they would shoot up into the air to the heigh of the map ceiling.

I have never played any other battlefield game, i bought it for 3 of my friends and was really excited, and you know what, I like the game. I feel like the other long time battlefield players are used to great games by dice are honestly underwhelmed and I might be to. But I still have fun when I play with my friends, the graphics are incredible and I really enjoy portal (except for the SPAS-12 with explosive rounds. That really sucks.) So I feel that some players get caught up in the hating on the game ban wagon when if its such a bad game, then stop talking about it, anyway, hope Dice makes this game as good as the others so I can have a true battlefield experience

The other games are leagues better than 2042. They also come with EA play and Xbox game pass ultimate. You should give them a try (but for the love of God, do not play them on PC. The cheating is insane)

How can you say there’s no hackers in 2042 when for 95% of the game’s lifespan so far there wasn’t a scoreboard to look at the k/d ratios or all chat to even ask the other team about a suspected hacker *or* to tell the other team about a player on your team suspected of hacking. With zero scoreboard or spectate mode beyond your own squad in the spawn screen, how would anyone ever catch and document a hacker without literally recording every match and happening upon some instance of an apparent hacker? I’ve been killed by enemies that were invincible, that I didn’t think could see me, and several that were invisible. This was all prior to the scoreboard (and my loss of interest) so how would I know if it was a hacker versus it just being developer incompetence? I think the reluctance to show stats on kills and deaths for everyone in the server was a strategic decision on DICE and EA’s part to avoid any bad publicity that would come from hackusations- especially considering they were tearing into cod and Warzone’s rampant cheating issues.

Its being explained by literal cheats making groups that they couldnt make reliable cheats for 2042 due to the poor performance of the game. Basically the game tanks so much on your performance that using cheating programs shut down your game or made the FPS drop to Powerpoint slides images. They simply gave up after they seen the playerbase drop like a rock. No reason to waste time and money on making cheats for a game that has 2000 players at best. People being invisible was a glitch btw, people being invincible was also a glitch. You got a valid point when you said the game has no way to spot cheaters outside of blatant ones but yknow, its DICE we are talking about. They cant keep older features because they gotta replace them with useless garbage. Yeah cant have spec mode, we gotta have 128 players were no one has fun...

I actually kind of like the music for 2042 in a weird way, it has a certain different tone to it than the rest and it could have been cool and sort of fitting if they made the game more like bf1 and less like overwatch... It all sounds sort of empty and... Desperate(?) and if the game kept that tone consistently and the music actually fit the game it would hopefully have been better received
