It wasn't too much to ask of you to NOT play something, you literally had to do, literally nothing. But you couldn't even do that. It such a basic choice. Harm-reduction or not. And you picked, not?! From what I’ve seen the reason why FG didn’t transition to phase two is because of a glitch where if summons are the only thing doing damage boss phase transitions don’t work properly. If you come into contact with the boss it will usually fix itself however

Could also be related to poise damage. AFAIK Tiche's black blade attack doesn't do poise damage, which is required for FG phase transition. He ended up going to phase 2 because his leg broke, which did poise damage.

Reading the lore on the ahes helps maximize their use. Demihuman ashes for instance are better to summon at night.

Don't you dare diss noble sorcerer, he helped me beat Margit on my first blind Playthrough when the game came out, I didnt know where to go to find upgrades or where to upgrade, I was completely lost and stumbled upon the noble sorcerer ashes while hopelessly wandering to find anything to give me an advantage and the noble sorcerer did more damage than me when I fought him so my strategy was to summon the sorcerer and then hold margits agro as much as possible and it worked
