Did sekiro count? It's the one I find the hardest... And I would've chosen to skip DS2 if that was possible. I'm trying to do a run on dark souls 1 without changing weapons after getting the initial equipment (I can reinforce and modify them, just not unequip or equip any other weapon, am still trying to decide if bosses souls modifications would count towards it...). That may be a good idea for a run if you want to... I was thinking about going as a cleric, but I decided that attuning magic would count as changing weapons... So I just chose knight for the safe 100% physical shield... (I'm still pretty bad on parries haha)

I mean I think it’s reasonable to think that Elden ring is better if you’ve only played through both of the games once. Elden ring is amazing upon first playthrough but suffers heavily on later playthroughs. Whereas Dark souls 1 only gets better

It's only fun for the first hour and then goes to shit cause catacombs sucks, izalith sucks, blight town sucks, New Londo sucks and that underground tree area is only good for one thing and that's the covenant and weapon from the dragon tail. DS1 is so highly overrated and praised despite its flaws that outweigh the successes. Terrible dodging, boring bosses, the areas don't make sense considering none loon like a place anyone would live (like did you see inside the buildings, the roads, etc...?). The only saving grace is the DLC and that should not be the case

Yea it's hard at first, but that's the beauty of it. There really isn't anything better than struggling with a boss on your first time through and finally beating it. It's even better on your second run through and you realise the game feels so much easier now on account of you being so much better at the game. That's the real satisfaction of the game. Maybe stick with it a little bit, I promise you'll enjoy it in the long run

Bed of chaos literally the easiest because it is the only boss without any rng. Melee right, run middle hug left wall, bow kill left side, run middle. Then go to the outter ring and it always does the double swish. When it's done run to it now the only thing that kills you is not hitting the branch other than that you won gg

Also ceaseless discharge is the easiest to beat with no damage even without weapon. Run to the armor past it and grab it, Run a bit, but stop so you don't get hit, then after the hit has missed you run back the shortcut way to the entrance and wait for the boss, dodge his attack and hit his hand about 6 times and he falls to his death. Surprised me he didn't do that (though I'm only on his first attempt so maybe he did on another try though just luring him to the entrance bit).

tbh it has amazing graphical fidelity but.. it’s a bit ugly in the details, for example faces and expressions look better than the original but they’re still uncanny as fuck in a big way. also the animations and certain design changes are a bit odd

Cool that demons souls remake runs good, too bad they fucked up just about all of the landscapes and lighting for the game. Also changed armors for no reason. DS1 has some of the best level design in the entire series. Not to mention the mechanics are slightly more punishing, especially early on in the game when you can't fast travel yet.
