Thank you, John. It matching together some miscellaneous puzzle pieces I've read about, and helping to make sense of it all.

Thanks for your comments, glad it was of assistance. I will make some videos covering different aspects of casting in 2021 and improve on both the content and the presentation.

First off, this is one of the most detailed explanations on how to properly execute the double haul albeit a bit hard to follow the Auzzi accent. I’ve watched many top notch instructors and not until now have I heard the reason to wait until the snap of the wrist. He’s absolutely correct in saying that most people start hauling from the beginning or translation of the stroke; I include myself in the bunch. I’m trying to correct this but since I’ve been doing it for many many years, it is not easy to change my technique but I’m trying nevertheless.

Thanks for putting this together. The only thing that’s stopping me from trying this out right now is it’s pitch black and snowing right now.

Hi John, Greetings, regards to you an yours and well done for sharing your very hard earned knowledge, time and casting expertise with the viewers and me. Your tips and instruction are inspirational (70m here I come), much appreciated and world class in my opinion. Keep up the good work, take care and I hope to catch up with you at future world castingsport events. Best regards from probably the oldest beginner in Scotland (John R).

Hi John, things are good on this side of the planet. Hope all is well with you. Will certainly catch up at a future tournament or when I am next in UK. Love to get together for a cast and a fish mate. Best wishes, John

Hi John, I have watched your 2 videos and as far as I'm concerned they are very well presented - I think that Alan P's comments only go to show that when accessing the internet it's better to do it when you haven't just returned from a night out on the piss !! Anyway regarding the movement of the hauling hand/arm, in Video 1 you state that it must not pass the side of your body but stay in the plane of the rod when performing the haul. However when you give a demo of distance casting in Video 2 your hauling arm passes outside your body, presumably so that you can give an extra long haul; which is correct ?? Layton

That "instruction" is so unclear!

Thanks Alan, would be pleased for some hints as to how I can improve the clarity before I do my second video.
