Join Hugh Ross in this breaking News of the Day episode of Stars, Cells, and God. Hugh describes the discovery of the most distant known galaxy and what the characteristics of this galaxy imply for the cosmic dawn and the big bang creation model.
Distant Galaxy and the Big Bang
Join us as we explore:
• The astounding measurement of galaxy JADES-GS-z14-0 at a redshift of 14.32, revealing a glimpse into the universe just 280 million years after the cosmic creation event.
• Insights into the size and brightness of this newly discovered galaxy, with its light spanning over 1,600 light-years, predominantly from young stars rather than a supermassive black hole.
• The implications of JWST observations on the big bang model, sparking discussions among young-earth creationists and other astrophysicists about potential overhauls to our understanding of cosmic origins.
• The standard big bang creation model and its components-including dark energy, exotic dark matter, and ordinary matter-and how JWST’s mission aims to detail the masses and populations of the universe’s first stars.
• How JWST’s latest findings support the biblically predicted big bang cosmic model and strengthen the evidence for a universe finely tuned by a cosmic Creator.
This episode is packed with astronomical insights and cosmic revelations!

I have not seen Young Earth Creationists say that this disproves the Big Bang but that the universe's age seems to have doubled: From 13.5 billion to 25 billion. Giving support that the sciences are not so settled, we may discover mysteries that may dislodge some commonly held scientific models while strengthening others.

Here is an easy way to understand why young earth creationism cannot be seriously considered as an alternative. If you're a cop entering a homicide scene where the victim has been strangled, you may not know which of the five other people in the room did it, but you can rule out the quadriplegic in the wheelchair right away. Our understanding of how many billions of years old the universe is may be uncertain or change, but it's never going to change to just ten thousand years old.

They're parroting a widely discredited early hypothesis by Gupta to explain apparent rapid galaxy formation by making all the physical constants time-varying. It's falsified by the blackbody spectrum of the CMB.

There were other papers that reported higher elements were detected .Where are the Population III stars? Someone is lying. We were told that it takes a billion yrs to form stars but R2B now says it all happened with 80 million yrs, very convenient don't you think.

@@georgebond7777 For this to be a young earth, meaning 6,000 years, there would have to be a conspiracy taking in every single astrophysicist of the last century up to today, AND every single university and research institution in the world today secular and sectarian.

The age of the universe is not really in dispute. There are 4 independent lines of evidence proving to the best of our understanding that the universe is 13.7 billion years old. Dr. Ross talks about them in other videos. This means the scientific burden is on the new researchers to show how all four lines of evidence are incorrect and that is a high bar. However, they are welcome to continue their research because additional research always brings us closer to the truth and that's what really matters.

Dr. Ross, you have stated that there are 4 independent lines of evidence proving, to the best of our understanding, that the universe is 13.7 billion years old. Please consider creating and releasing a single video or other media content with all of that evidence collected in one place. Thank you.

Wow..........that information fits perfectly my theoretical version of the Big Bang. I can't wait to see what they find next hoping the information continues to match my theoretical version.

I want to ask. My questions... 1. The reality that we can see right now is that in this universe there are trillions of trillions of planets and galaxies. If there are countless trillions of trillions of planets... maybe not only planet Earth has living creatures inhabiting it...? For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets...? 2. The real facts that we can know right now... the earth is approximately 10 million km, the sun is 1.3 million times as big as the earth, and there is a star called U Scuty that is tens of billions of times as big as the sun . If the celestial bodies were super massive in size like that, the number in the trillions would be uncountable. How big do you think God the Creator is, bro...? Maybe God is only as big as the man Jesus...? 3. According to scientists, the universe is more than 13 billion years old, whereas according to historians, Adam and Eve only existed about 7 thousand years ago. Based on this science... maybe the universe has been empty without any living creatures inhabiting it for more than 13 billion years...? So what was Jesus doing for 13 billion years before there were humans, Adam and Eve...? Please answer me!!!!?!!!

Have any RTB apologists seen Dawkins so open and self-describing as "Christian" (however he tries to redefine it)? He uses some vulgarities to convey his honesty, but this seems like an admission of openness, likely due to his longstanding friendship with Ms. Ali. This debate/discussion video is dated within last 5 days, and clearly happened this year, 2024. She is open, honest, and clearly committed, and so gracious and even complimentary to Dawkins, it is amazing to see. kzbin.info/www/bejne/epPNeaywlJyZecksi=oamTlorLkRS-IFFO

@@hughross131 That is extraordinary at your age. I’m very impressed. High fat ketogenic, (or carnivore which is what Jordan Peterson does) involves eliminating carbohydrates and increasing your intake of animal fats.
