Join Hugh Ross and Mike Strauss as they discuss a new discovery taking place at the frontiers of science that has theological and philosophical implications, as well as points to the reality of God’s existence.
There’s been noise on the Internet stating that the first observations of the James Webb Space Telescope show that the big bang didn’t happen. We’ll discuss these new observations and what they’ve revealed, the evidence for and against the big bang, and possible future discoveries that James Webb Space Telescope may make.
Hugh and Mike discuss this important topic in this episode of Stars, Cells, and God.

@@Gruuvin1 Basically from their perspective, given enough time. the original particles and photons from the big bang can be gradually turn into atoms and molecules, which in time, gradually turn into planets and stars naturally without intervention from God or the supernatural. The problem is there does not seem to be enough time for that to occur naturally. What is the probability of a functional protein existing by chance? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIKWmYiiipWpiJY

Reality is always more complex and surprising than expected and initial theories and studies suggest. Let more data come in and get integrated with prior data before concluding something contrary to all the best evidence we have to date. Most likely, there will merely be a modification of what we know now rather than a full reversal. I look forward to the video and Dr Ross’s explanation of recent findings. Since it’s not my area of specialty, I will be eager to see what various experts have to say.

Thankyou Dr Ross and Dr Strauss for a wonderful & clarifying discussion ! Eric Lerner does agree that the primordial deuterium expts support big bang. He says it is the "only" solid evidence, however He mentions 16 observations that He says "oppose" bb cosmology So then, why isnt the primordial deuterium data more definative to him? How does it weigh-in w both of your views on the strongest evidences that support bb cosmology? Has Gran Sasso lab further developed their supportive data since 2018?

Dr. Ross, I have a question: After writing your book Creation As Science, have recent discoveries given you an opportunity to refine the model you proposed in the book, and if so, what refinements have you made? Thank you for the work you do.

Small adjustment have been made. Reasons To Believe scholars have developed a biblically based, scientifically testable creation model that makes testable predictions. They collate all that the Bible says about God’s creative work and integrate the individual accounts into a coherent picture. They then present this interpretation in the form of a scientific model that anticipates future findings. The creation model started in 1985 has done very well: Here is a small sampling of some of the most significant predictions that flow from RTB’s biblical creation model, predictions thoroughly tested and confirmed as transcendent creation events . Uniqueness of Earth, our solar system, and our galaxy the rapidity of life’s origin the Cambrian explosion fossil record “reversals” rapid recovery from mass extinction events the rapidity of symbiotic relationships’ emergence the relatively recent origin of humanity

The only reason to believe, for me, is not because of any laws of physics nor any science knowledge / facts / proofs / theories etc, but because of God's amazing grace for me, to make me realize my own sins, and i have no hope of self salvation, but that Jesus loves me so much that He died for me to save me.

Yes, the big bang has been refuted. Research High Velocity dispersion Rate of Matter in Galaxies. Everything in the galaxy moves away from the supermassive black holes in the core. This alone refutes a big bang from happening. Our solar system is about 26,000 light years away from the black hole and is moving away from it at about 900,000 mi/h (1,443,600 km/h). This should be of great concern to all cosmologists because it refutes the laws of physics, the laws of thermodynamics, general relativity, the big bang and the cosmological models on how galaxies came to be after a big bang. CEERS 1749 is about 13.6 billion light years away and has a supermassive black hole in it's core weighing 5 billion solar masses. It is 1,250 times larger than the Milky Way galaxy yet is only 230 million years old? All the data appears to refute the big bang cosmology. The LARGE smooth galaxies indicate they didn't form rapidly. It took a long time for accretion/gravity to gather all the matter. So the galaxy does indeed refute the big bang or general relativity. CEERS 1749 contains mostly old red giant stars spewing microwaves that are billions of years old yet it is only 230 million years old? Impossible. The age of the stars in the CEERS 1749 galaxy refutes Einstein's general relativity. The high velocity dispersion rate of matter in galaxies indicates where all the matter and energy in the universe came from, how it was all created. If we reverse time the matter moving away from the black hole would be moving in a beeline towards the black hole till eventually some 13.7 billion years later everything merges back into the black hole. This indicates everything in our galaxy came from the supermassive black hole. This means matter and energy can be created. Einstein was wrong claiming nothing is able to escape the gravity of a black hole. And a big bang never happened because everything came from the black hole, not from a big bang or rapid inflation. God Almighty, our creator is the supermassive black hole in the core of our galaxy.

Human's science could change as we acquire new technologies to advance our knowledge. So we can never use our still limited knowledge of science to justify the existance of God. True salvation is by faith in God's Gospel of Jesus Christ, not, & never will be, by human's ( limited ) knowledge of science, nor any evidence, carbon dating, ( incomplete) law of physic, nor logic or deduction. Take what Bible described at face value. Creation was a miracle that we can and should try to understand and explain, but not as a basis to believe or not to believe in God.

The authoritative KJB Bible proclaims that the world is not going to improve ultimately because it will burn up with a “fervent heat” Our souls are eternal. But our Destinations are different depending on whether you agree with God’s word or not. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Read His words starting in the gospel of John before you read Genesis!

Biblical Hebrew a small vocabulary than English. In biblical Hebrew, there is no word for universe. Instead, the Hebrew phrase that is translated “the heavens and the earth” is used to refer to the universe-the entirety of physical reality. The phrase is used thirteen times in the Old Testament, always referring to all matter, energy, space, and time the universe. We now know that event was 13.787 ±0.020 billion years. This has been checked, proven and measured with many tools and they all agree. It is not just space that came to be 13.787 billion years ago, but time also. The universe is finite and expanding. New things must just be studied and understood. New things need to be peer reviewed. We have the Hubble telescope, and Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP). These tools and other tools have measured the universe. The universe (time, space, and matter) came into existence 13.813 (±0.038) billion years ago. Just as the Bible stated thousands of years ago. To deny the existence of a Creator is an error.

All this latest new foundings from the new telescope mirror tells us , once again, that the Bible's account of the universe creation is trustworthy, more than the science of the day, which can change, as we acquire new knowledge. So do not use science to explain God, unless human knows the same level of science as God. That is why true salvation is by faith, not by knowledge and evidence and logical deduction, none of those we can achieve the level of God.

Before I watch this video, my answer to the title "Does the JWST reveal that the big bang never happened?" is no, and no reputable scientist would disagree. But now I'll watch and see where you got this idea from. Edit: You open with Eric Lerner's Book, "The Big Bang Never Happened". Not only is his book more than 30 years old and outdated (dark matter wasn't even thought of that long ago), but he avoids addressing evidence that doesn't fit his ideas by simply dismissing them or ignoring them completely, choosing confirmation bias over scientific rigor. Futhermore, he has raised multiple red flags in the science community with his claims of being heretical, and that the science community are conspiring to cover it up. I've no doubt that he's a lot more knowledgeable than I am, but I've heard what his critics have to say and I've seen their evidence for why he's wrong and I believe them, not him. I won't bother watching any further if that's what you're opening with, but I'll just say that "Reasons to Believe" is an open admission of willful confirmation bias and is no way a scientific approach to anything. If the scientific evidence leads to a conclusion then that's where it leads, but if you start with a conclusion and try to find evidence to fit that conclusion, then it's not science.
