"Why did it take you 5secs to say you misclicked" Tbf, that's how a misclick can work. You don't always catch those immediately, and it'll sometimes take a few seconds for it to register that your opponent has drawn a card

Yeah that was totally bs. It woulda made more sense if it was like 3 actions into the opponents Main phase. But 5 seconds after clicking end turn…..clear lag….i can imagine he clicked set on the monster but it didnt set (coz db do that sometimes) and instantly clicked end turn after. Then 5 seconds later hes like “wait wtf why didnt it set?”

Not gonna lie, that second judge call feels VERY hasty on your part...the guy explained he was lagging. That already explains why it took him 5 seconds to say wait. Because on his screen it very well could have taken 5 seconds for it to show him having clicked end turn.

@@Mernom soul absorption can't create a chain link; it's spell speed 1, being a continuous spell. it just has one condition and one effect. you'd resolve a chain in which a card(s) were banished and then immediately activate soul absorption (as it cannot miss timing), starting a new chain I THINK

I'm ok with the ruling, but at 2:25 you gotta realize 5 seconds is like lightning fast for some people lol. Sometimes I'll hit something consecutively on DB and it'll say it was like 3 seconds apart. Personal connection and servers matter. You've used DB for so long surely you know 5 seconds is realistically a fast correction.

I gotta disagree with the ruling on that guy who misclicked. 5 seconds is not very long. Some people aren't very fast typers, you should know since i see you having to look at your keyboard as you type. moving the mouse over to the chat, click the chat, and typing out that you misclicked all under potential latency can easily take 5 seconds. I'm so glad i don't play on dueling book. not only becasue it looks like it takes way longer to play out a match but also because the community seems so absolutely desperate for any win possible that they call a judge if you try to correct a misclick.

The whole point of Pingas in Traptrix is to devour monsters to turn off their theme's effects against it. Of course, if you make the right types by chance with miscellaneous Rank 4 Toolbox options you can potentually skip that step. Solemns are good for enabling this effect since they negate and destroy, either way the monster card used gets sent to grave by their effects. A card has to say sonething ti the effect of "Card type(Spell, Trap, Monster)" for "type" to refer to one of those 3 categories rather than a Monster type. And it specifically mentions Trap cards earlier in the effect line, ruling out that definition of "Type" entirely.

As someone who started playing when master duel came out, and started going to irl tournaments about a month after, I could NEVER play Dueling book for anything other than playing with friends. I’d rather play and test seriously on a simulator where I can see if the game allows certain interactions or not. To me it just feels like people play on there to rule scum. Very zoomer take I’m sure, but that’s just my opinion.
