Normally I agree with Michael Knowles, but I can’t here. How could it not be a problem to lead the world in prison population? It doesn’t matter whether they deserve to be there or not, clearly something has gone wrong. I don’t agree with how liberals want to address the issue by just not prosecuting people or letting convicts out of jail necessarily, but I’m not going to pretend like our prison population is not an issue. If there is an epidemic of people getting pregnant out of wedlock, I’m sure Michael and I would agree, that would be a big issue. We should not say “well this is just a consequence of their actions.” That is true, but it’s not a good way to address the issue.

I should say that “normally” means more than 85% of the time, let’s say. Because, in this very speech, he said my other pet peeve: reducing the civil war to slavery. I’m obligated to, whenever a Republican makes this stupid implication, point out that the reasons for secession varied among the states that seceded. For example, when Virginia left the union, it was solely due to the fact that Lincoln had called for volunteers to invade the South. But even if every single state explicitly seceded over slavery, that would be the reason for secession, not the reason for the war. The reason for the war was that the southern states asserted their independence and the US government did not want to allow them to. It doesn’t matter at all why they wanted to become independent or on what principles their government were to be based. Those are separate issues. We should be able to separate the politics that preceded the war and the war itself. Republicans do this all the time when it comes to the American war for independence. Do you ever hear people say that the war for American independence was about taxes? No, they rightly abstract the meaning to say that the people of the colonies wanted to be independent and sought self-determination. Michael would surely never say “self-determination to do what?” Yet he does exactly that whenever discussing the Civil War. It boggles the mind. These people try to take the blame off of Lincoln and the North by shouting “slavery!” at every turn. But it either represents a cursory knowledge of the period or it is an outright obfuscation.

What if God canceled His human creation who would be saved??? For God so loved that He gave His only Son so that those who chose to believe in the final blood sacrifice would be saved. It’s His blood that washes it away: For He is moved by the human spirit of belief and faith so that person can be restored by kneeling and submission. Submission gives Him permission to do His renovations of the heart that’s ware He starts. See testimonials. Read:Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (bible ) for further information.
