Jesse, is it ok to upload tracks online before submitting them to sync exclusive libraries? Meaning do libraries require only the tracks that have never been uploaded online or it is okay to delete them everywhere if the tracks are accepted to a library? Thank you

It depends on the Library. Each one will have different requirements for their submitting members. Just always be transparent with your situation.

My plan was to upload tracks to stock sites before I have 10-12 tracks album for libraries and then delete uploaded tracks from the stock sites. Just thought it s more effective

@@Sekosh As long as you can immediately take your tracks off the Stock websites, there should be no problem with you taking them down and then pitching them to an exclusive Library.

Do I Need To Register Every Beat I Make With My PRO OR Do They Track It Based Off Your Name? How Do They Know What Beats Are Mine To Pay Me? Thank You And Keep Making Awesome Videos!

Good question! ASCAP & BMI track your placements from Cue Sheets - these are documents created by the TV clients that use our music. Usually a Library that accepts your music will register your tracks with ASCAP/BMI and each track registration carries with it all your information to be able to credit and pay you your royalties.

You mention periodically (including in this video) that certain kinds of organizations/services would not accept music productions from just anyone, because they're concerned that there may be some copyright issues with the music, which could get them trouble. If so what's the reason that the sync licensing services which you speak about, are not worried about that?

They are worried about that, but the kinds of exclusive Libraries that I recommend build PERSONAL relationships with their composers. They get to know them and how they create music. They require legal releases that indemnify them in case a copyright lawsuit gets brought to play. Essentially, they're set up to work with new composers. Music Supervisors usually don't have that kind of time/energy to do all that.

Jesse would let you know also: it’s not good as it once was anymore. The standard is high (& put you through revisionist hell) but the quality of music Supes/libraries have dwindled greatly. They’ve even partnered with royalty-free libraries now. It’s a no-go.
