@@JusticeJunkies1 Awwwwww, NO need to apologise imho. Music /art is ALL subjective. Yes, the original writer may state what the actual meaning of the song lyrics are, but we all have the right to ALSO "feel" the lyrics in our own way. We can have our own point of view. I personally get so many different references from the original vs Destroyed's version of this song. How ironic that here you are on YOUR channel, posting YOUR reaction video to the Sound of Silence, and a viewer is trying to silence your opinion. Seriously? Are we now going to have the music lyrics police silencing our opinions on songs? Really? Lol. I think that is what this song is also about --- the unwillingness of some to allow others to speak and feel freely. Some people just want to shout down opposing views. Cancel Culture has ruled us for several years. I think that is going to all be changing very soon. ;) Feel what YOU feel JusticeJ! Don't let anyone silence your thoughts! I was a child when this song was originally written in 1964, and grew up in the 70s. The 70s were about the FREEDOM of expression. ....something the past decade has tried to quelch for some. I pray we can get back to letting everyone communicate and once again respect others point of views. And btw to the poster who tried to correct your opinion? Well, not communicating, not speaking (just shouting the other side down, canceling those who opposing views), not listening (just hearring the other side as noise, with no concern about what they are actually saying) ? That is exactly what can lead to a nuclear war. Peace out. ✌

In my mind ears there's only 2 covers/tributes that meet or exceed the expectation. This version of Sound of Silence and the 2nd one is Nightwish with Marko Hietala playing and singing the Pink Floyd song "High Hopes". Both are absolutely stunning pieces of work. How can you sing along with his version if you've never heard it, being that it's so different from the original?
@JusticeJunkies12 ай бұрын
I get the cadence wrong quite a few times and my father was obsessed with the song so I just made inferences where I could. Glad it wasn't super obvious that I screwed the cadence up several times 😂 once I got the beat down it was easier to figure out the melody.

This version has the same lyrics as the original

For the Best female live vocal it has to be Nightwish / Ghost Love Score with Floor Jansen

Simon and Garfunkel's version was the warning. David's version is an admonishment for not heeding the warning .

Where do you get the idea that the song is about Nuclear War 😅don't think so . I feel that the song is about ,people to wrapped up in their own selves, not communicating anymore. People always on their phones, their Neon God .
@JusticeJunkies116 сағат бұрын
@@bigmamabecky30ross2 I put my apology in my pinned comment and I'm so sorry I got that wrong. My father, who is no longer with us, used to always tell me that and I took him at his word. From here on out I made a vow to never do that again and research before hand. He loved S&G so much and I always just assumed he was correct. I'm so sorry. 🙏🩷

Have you ever heard of Ren? If not, I recommend you do a reaction to Ren's song Hi Ren. If you do it will come with a lot of attention. Also, he is very reactor friendly, and you won't get copyright stikes, or if you do, his team will remove them... It's also a live performance.

@@jeremythornton3240 I have to do Ren next..everyone keeps recommending him to me and I'm super excited to check it out. Awesome suggestion my friend!

@JusticeJunkies1 You are cute, have charisma, and are good at reacting... right now, you have about 1.28k subs. Do some Ren reactions, and you will probably have 5k within a week or 2... bet! I recommend Hi Ren, Sick Boi and then do The Tales of Jenny and Screech w/ Violet's tale (do the long version with them all together on "The Tales"). Don't worry about the videos being too long... us Renegades don't mind and will watch the whole thing! 😉

Great reaction subbed and liked. The music video version is SO much better. You must react to it. The visuals in the video completely explain Disturbed's interpretation of this amazing song. You do not get that with the live version. It is LITERALLY the PERFECT music video with such POWER! PLEASE react to it!
