David Draiman....about the BEST male vocalist out there. Can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from a pure voice as clear as crystal to distortion and rasp and back on a dime. A God given powerful, soulful voice with amazing control. Loved your reaction Island Girl....was mine too.....and without too many interruptions! Lol..... Try "The Light" and "The Night"....know you'll like them!

In 2015 Disturbed gave it a whole new energy and life.....One of the greatest songs ever written, performed to flawless greatness...

i loved disturbed version of this. loved too how some people that have the stereotype oh he's part of heavy metal band. those ppl dont actually sing. most of them do have beautiful voices like you hear their normal stuff then they tone it down and its like a double wow

I’m a big disturbed fan. I have two tracks for you. When my Mom passed I was angry, and the track ‘Save Our Last Goodbye’ I hit it on vol 10 many times, but they released a new album and a track that calms you and really hits the spot when you lose a loved one is ‘Hold on to Memories’ both still make me fill up! Great reaction Disturbed been kicking around a good 20+ years they are in a sense the second coming of Faith No More they are much more then a heavy metal band (They can do all sorts of stuff musically) They out of nowhere released a cover of Stings if I ever Lose my faith in you” which is simply a beautiful cover..... you should check it out if you haven’t already

This has become a standard for the band, always expected at their live gigs! David and his brother were classically trained singers. He turned to metal and his brother is an opera singer. Paul Simon said he wrote this after a dream and the meaning is still argued about. The video I feel talks of the rediscovery of lost music. One island find the sheet music, the other find the instruments and travel to them... Paul Simon saw THIS very performance on Conan and loved it. You should also react to the original version, written and performed by Simon and Garfunkel way back in the 1960s. It is much different from this angry version. It is soft, melodic, a bit sad with great harmony between their two voices. It is said that their original was a warning of things to come, but this version expresses rage that the warning was not heeded.

Disturbgasim LOL....That asshole made me cry at work when i stumbled upon this live rendition. I know the original S&G version very well and the deep meaning of the lyrics but this....THIS rendition brings the lyrical significance and the emotional impact all together in a haunting, sad, angry but ohhhh so beautiful way.
