*Am Israel Chai! Love from America!* As a child of the 60s that grew up near New York City, I just have to comment on *how historically accurate the lyrics are about the "words of the prophets written on the subway walls ..." That is absolutely, historically and factually correct!* Especially in the 60s, 70s and even the 80s, the very first thing you saw when getting off the subway was the words of the prophets painted on the NYC subway walls. Usually warnings to Repent! Judgement is near! Actual scripture. Painted amid all the other crazy, often lewd graffiti and gang tags. This is SSOOO quintessentially NEW YORK CITY where Simon and Garfunkel lived. Just remarking on this as it's impossible to recognize the absolute genius of the lyrics with knowing this. THe NYC/Biblical parallel. The "words that were forming" ... "the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls ..." Alongside the words that supernaturally formed on the walls in the Biblical book of Daniel. In the Tanakh. Now THAT is pure lyrical genius. Their NYC urban imagery is unparalleled. And what was the warning in the "writing on the wall?" The words basically told the king, "YOU HAVE BEEN JUDGED AND FOUND WANTING. YOUR KINGDOM IS TAKEN FROM YOU." And of course the next day the king is dead and Babylon has fallen. Just like that. NYC is often described as a modern day Babylon. The neon god is the golden calf. Just had to point that out. Much love to David Draiman for the best rendition of that song ever! Shalom Shalom!

If I was at a Disturbed concert and the people around me drowned out David with their singing, I would be really angry!

You wouldn't say that if you'd ever have seen Freddie Mercury and a crowd singing Love of My LIfe. Look for it. Even after Freddie's death, fans sing with Brian May. Fans sand it with Brian to Freddie's mother. When we love an artist sometimes we cannot help jbut become a part of the art.

Why do the people in the audience have to sing along? I’d hate to pay all that money for a concert and heard people sing out of tune!!🤫😬😡
