Regarding the comments on the first story: even if the school nurse had an Epi-pen, they'd still need to call an ambulance. It's a persistent and dangerous misconception that an Epi-pen is a substitute for a hospital visit. Epi-pens don't save your life, they preserve it long enough to get to a hospital. If you have a severe allergic reaction and use an Epi-pen, you will still die if you don't get further medical attention ASAP. An Epi-pen box/casing has four steps: remove the cap, stab until it clicks, hold for three seconds, and seek emergency medical attention.

My thing about the first story is how in the heck did the OP manage to blend the peanut butter with water. Hearing this story makes me want to try it to see if it actually does blend simply by manually shaking it. Mind you, this is using the strength of an adult, not a second grader. Also, wouldn’t that change the color of the water and make it taste different? I don’t know, for some reason the first story annoyed me.

The only thing that makes me think the first one may be fake is not everyone has immediate reactions, they tend to be delayed, but then again maybe that's why they were able to get her to a hospital in time without her dying. i wanted to put my two cents in the first story. i have grown up with severe food allergies and still have them to this day. this story isn’t uncommon- people genuinely do not understand the danger and severity of food allergies- especially these days when nut allergies are so joked and meme’d on. it has a real life effect on the way people view these allergies. my extended family doesn’t believe it, they don’t understand that i can die within a minute. kids and even friends would jokingly try to hand me food they KNEW i was allergic to. there are countless stories of waiters, fast food workers, and cooks not believing their own customers when we tell them we have an allergy! PLEASE. believe us. and understand that it is literally a life or death situation, and that we can be dead in 30 seconds. don’t underestimate these allergies. they are dangerous and shouldn’t be joked about. please be sure to ask you friends if they hahe allergies, and educate yourself on where their epipens are and how to use them. we won’t be able to do it ourselves. i can’t stress this enough. it is so scary, and stories like this, regardless of the age, makes me feel more justified in never accepting food from people, or never going out to new restaurants that aren’t trusted, or even being in the same room with someone eating my allergy. it’s scary

Definitely this. I especially take it seriously cause our bus driver's daughter had a peanut allergy so bad that if you simply ate a peanut butter cup and then walked onto the bus, she would literally well up into hives and start wheezing, so I get it. I wish they'd educate people better on it. I, myself, just gained a partial allergy to blueberries and strawberries that was so bad to my body I gained shingles from the stress it caused on my body, so I completely get it and do my best to educate people (especially since I am a disabled/retired chef) despite not even having an allergy deadly enough to kill me. I hope you're ok and I can't believe your own family and friends would do that.

Unfortunately, the mom probably got paid in either meth or money that would be spent on meth to allow this monster to do what he did to her children. If he was a dealer, he likely would have been supplying her in exchange for being able to sell out of their house and also have access to her daughters. It's terrible. I grew up in a similar situation, but nowhere near as bad. I had also been hiding or dumping drugs and alcohol and it caused insane fights. It wasn't on purpose though. I did it because I was like 12 and I thought that if I just dump it, then they can't drink it and act funny again. I had no idea what I was actually doing, but when my mom found out, she tried to kill me. She punched me in the face and started choking me with both of her hands. I had actually just met her new boyfriend that night and he was laughing while she choked me. They were together almost 2 years (she was cheating on my step-dad with this man because he was in prison). That was only the beginning, but I feel incredibly lucky that my moms drug of choice was heroin instead of meth because she just sleeps a lot instead of doing what methheads do. I'm glad things never went that far, but with the amount of weird strange men that would come over, I'm surprised I wasn't ever violated by them. Luckily, all that was violated was my space when she would let strangers sleep in my bed and they would steal my underwear and anything I had that was worth anything. I had no private space or personal items because of this. I just hope that wherever these girls are now, they are doing alright. What I went through was life altering, I cannot imagine living through what they did.

Last story is horrific. I do find it very concerning how people will just say "the mom was more at fault" she was an evil disgusting POS herself and she is better off now, but its very disheartening how quick we are to dismiss p*dos and r*pists because "thats just how they are, there was no hope for him" I agree to an extent but it really makes me feel hopeless for humanity. That user corncob's reply is so strange to me, it removes the accountability off the POS. We are so desensitized by r*pists that we treat them like creatures that are inevitably to cross paths with victims. Its easier to view them as non-human monsters than face the reality that they are depraved humans and I feel this mentality is counterintuitive to fighting against them.

I got a call from her a few years ago, letting me know that I would probably be hearing from someone who worked for the FBI. Sure enough, I got a call. Turns out, he was browsing the internet, and he found a "mother" who was interested in making some money from someone who wanted some "alone time" with her children, a six year old and an eight year old, I believe. He ended up crossing state lines and was quickly apprehended, as it had been a massive sting operation back in about 2021. My statements helped get him an additional 8 years, and the child is now safe and happy living full time with her mom. I just hope he gets some alone time with some of his fellow inmates, and ends up under the prison so we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

OP in the last story was a child. She did what was necessary to protect herself and her sister -a position she should never have been forced into at such a young age. I do wish people would stop saying 'you never really get over childhood SA' as though now, on some level, you're just a fundamentally broken person. And I know that The Internet Investigator isn't trying to do this (I know she really cares about people, that's one of the many reasons she's so amazing! So I'm not criticizing her in any way), I just hear this so often that it's become a real point of contention for me. This is, I think, a very dangerous message, especially to anyone going through this right now. The truth is, with time, therapy, and antidepressants, you can get to a place where you are emotionally detached to the terrible things that happened to you as a child (and yes, I am talking from personal experience). Today I am a very happy, well-adjusted person with 4 beautiful daughters. I have an excellent psychiatrist and I still do a lot of self-reflection; and yes, from time-to-time, the things I was subjected to, do bother me or make me upset (especially when my daughters were the same age I was when these things happened) but these days it's pretty rare, and I almost never think about it. I also want to say I no longer have any issues with intimacy (though I did for a while). I just want to say, to anyone going through this right now, there is help out there, things absolutely DO get better, but only with therapy and time. That road, hard though it may be, is so incredibly worth it!

I mean, if you're lucky and in a good enough mindset to care about mental health. Lots of people don't get the meds and help they need. My own family is riddled with mental illness and whenever my mom tried to get help they just want her to repeat literally everything her uncle did to her and she would rather suffer alone or try opening up to me than get help cause she feels like they're being disgusting and I get it. The thing is though, you still will always carry your trauma with you. My mom hit 35 years of marriage and has us 3 daughters all grown up and married, yet had relapses like when she went through years of opioid addiction and it caused issues with us all. It doesn't always apply to all people, but most people still carry their trauma. And you can still carry it even without knowing it. Like how my medical trauma is literally engrained in my body enough to the point that it gets scared to do things because I've been injured so many times that my own body won't listen to me and move because it doesn't want to get hurt. I am glad you are doing well and got help and have a great life. I was a homeless heroin addict for 12 years. I have seen all kinds of addicts. But one thing I can tell you with absolute positivity is that drugs don't change who you are at the very core. They can't bring out what isn't already there. I can't think think of one addict I have ever run into or known that would have done that. She may have been a "wonderful mother" before her POS, but I can guarantee you that if there weren't drugs in the equation she still would have done the same for that POS. Drugs may make people lie to try to get money out of family/friends, steal from businesses for drug money, etc, but they don't turn you into a child predator who enjoys watching their own children get r@ped. You have to be a sick monster deep down in your very core for drugs to bring THAT out of you.

The camping story sounds more like the guy was trying to warn them of something to me. He (rather considerately IMO) rowed out to the middle of the lake where they could see he wasn't able to try anything while they packed up and left. My first thought is that maybe this was an area unsavoury people hang out and he was warning them to leave so nothing happened to them. It's also possible though that he had bad intentions and simply didn't realise there were so many people in the tent. Still creepy AF though 😅

Yeah I just shrugged at the camping story. probably just a dangerous area or some sort of animal known for attacking people nearby. I don't know why reddiors are so determined to turn random encounters with strangers into some sort of "almost got skinned alive!!" story. nothing creepy about it. I also don't lend any credence to "everyone knows everyone here" because i've lived in small towns and thats always a lie.

The last sounds a lot like the recent child death in the UK, this little kid named Alfie. His mom found a new bf who got them both hooked on drugs and the bf started physically abusing Alfie, starving him, locking him out of the house. The kid was 5 years old. The mom was apathetic and then even participated in the abuse. Then the kid was beat so hard he died, and at the time of his death he had over 50 separate injuries in various stages of healing. I have no doubt the OP and her sister could have died if left in that situation.

Swede here! The second story with the creepy man is odd but i think that I might have an exploitation. If they were in sweden then yes, we have a "free to roam" law aka; you can walk in all forests and camp there as long as you are not desturbing the nature around you or camping too close to someones house. I think that the man might have been a Hunter. Hunting season for moose in sweden usually starts around september and even if its a bit too late to be camping in rural sweden around then, there is still a chance that the weather was still nice enough. The man might have been scoping out the area in hopes of finding a good place to hunt for moose and in fear of the OP and his friends scaring away/the moose knowing that people frequented the river, the Hunter told them too leave. Rural swedes are known for not having the best social skills and even if we have the "free to roam" law that he would definativaly have knewn of he might have resorted to being creepy to get them to leave "his" hunting grounds alone. Might be a huge stretch but just wanted to put in my word.

6:24 "We also didn't have a school nurse" From my experience with working in schools, I've never seen an elementary school with a school nurse. Usually, one of the staff members has a first aid license and gets paid more because at any moment of the school day they can be called to the office for a sick/injured kid. The main thing that feels off from that story is it's weird for a school to knowingly have a kid with allergies attending the school, but they don't have an epipen available. Tho, we don't know if it was an unorganized school. Depending on the school, maybe someone threw it away after it expired, but then forgot to replace it.

damn. that OP's mom wasn't just an enabler. she would also legally be considered a pedophile abuser alongside her boyfriend who killed her. she was facilitating child rape and child porn for 3 years. that is also considered a pedophile abuser by law. facilitation is completely different than just pretending it isn't happening, staying in ones bed at night, and enabling an abuser. she would have gotten near life or life sentence for what she did. OP was justified completely for getting his mom killed, b/c if she'd lied to the police they might have believed her on the grounds of her just being a mom and a meth addict who was too drugged to be aware. thank goodness she can't hurt anyone ever again. Yes, she should have protected her kids, BUT HE SHOULDNT BE RAPING KIDS. That always ALWAYS seems to get lost in there. The man made a decision to rape kids and yet somehow its always, "the mom is worse for letting it happen." Yeah she sucks and deserved what she got but he was RAPING. KIDS. These responses always seem to assume that raping kids is like . . . A necessary evil. An inevitable thing. I think it's because, according to many survivors, the betrayal hurts worse than the predation. Yeah, he shouldn't be raping kids. Any kids, anywhere, just on principle. But that's your mom. She's supposed to look out for *you*. Psychologists have noticed that CSA is more damaging the more you're supposed to be able to trust the perpetrator. Mom's boyfriend should of course be a decent human being like anyone else, but he's just some guy. This isn't just a weather pattern, this is an evil humans choose to do. But while it remains so dreadfully common, it remains a parent's job to defend against it, not to invite it in like a vampire.

In the outdoorsman story, the looking for a zipper idea is a really good one. I'm trying to imagine myself feeling around for something at night while trying to remain quiet, and doing that motion is pretty similar to a caress. I'd bet that's the right answer as to why the man was doing that. He probably was feeling around, and did it to the OP's arm for a second or two before realizing he was touching a person, by which point the person had woken up and spoke, so the man had to come up with some excuse on the fly and ended up telling them to leave, maybe thinking they'd believe they were trespassing or something. I work in EMS. Most school nurses now cant give an epi pen unless its prescribed to the student. They have them on hand in the office, but wait for us to administer it.

Both of my parents were meth users. My mom in particular is still a mess, but at least one of her highlights is that nobody got molested.

I’m a fairly new subscriber to your channel and I’ve been going through your older videos and enjoying so much of your content! This one, though, was an epic hit for me! 👍🏽👍🏽♥️

With the first one- if someone said they’d tried to do that to me in second grade , I probably would laugh it off if told now (and I’m assuming that lily and her dad already had a deliberating relationship to begin with, doesn’t make it better but so bizarre to assume your dad would poison you immediately)

That child would’ve been around my sons age. The one who slept the peanut butter into the girls water. Seeing that she had just been learning about lying, and why it was not right, she most likely truly did believe her friend was lying to her. It doesn’t make it right at all, and it could’ve been a very badly and OP would’ve felt horrible had it done so, it sounds like they already do even though her friend survived. However, children honestly don’t understand a lot of the consequences of their actions at that age. It doesn’t make the fact that she hasn’t said anything right though My son, who is seven has flash lights at me not realizing that seizures can be deadly. Once he was told this, though he stopped doing that. His dad has epilepsy too, and his other son, Rory’s’ little brother, who is five, thinks it’s amusing because his dad reacts much the same way I do, and just stares off into space. He legit just doesn’t understand that it’s dangerous. As for Rory, he knows the big, shaky seizures are dangerous, but that’s really it. Still though, he should say something.

I’m Lilly’s ex and friend. Lilly is okay now it all got sorted out by the school after the incident with the water and the girl was still bitchy and snobby to Lilly for other reasons and Lilly is traumatized but working through it and has rightfully never forgiven the girl for what she did.

I went to go find the peanut allergy post and apparently Lilly saw it because she made her own post about confronting OP about it. Her and her dad are making amends so yay happy endings!!

The first one is exactly why if you’re going to teach kids about lying, make sure to teach them to be responsible and don’t do things like fakeclaim. Teach them that if they think someone is lying, ignore it, ask them if they’re lying, or tell a trusted adult. Though many adults don’t even know this and accuse wheelchair users of “faking” when they don’t need to use their wheelchair 24/7. The adults in that persons life were to blame for what happened.
