Terraria is arguably the most successful of the many Minecraft inspired games that came out after Minecraft became a tremendous hit; differentiating itself with its 2D gameplay, greater emphasis on combat, attaining and rescuing villagers, and a world that actually has definitive history to it. Another unique aspect of Terraria are the hostile biomes that will spread across the world unless you stop them, originally it was the purple eldritch wasteland known as the Corruption. Eventually though a new corrupting biome was added: the Crimson, an arguably even more terrifying realm. Whilst the Corruption represents death and decay, the Crimson represents life gone wrong and is a distorted organic nightmare with teeth and bones jutting out of the landscape and once normal lifeforms turned into fleshy mockeries.
The underground sections of the Crimson are just as, if not more, gross the surface having even more dreadful beasts below and being built much more like the insides of some colossal beast rather than a cave system. Both the above ground and underground songs for the Crimson are quite disturbing, but I am giving it to the underground in particularly for its greater discordance and having the gal to mimic much friendlier songs in the game at times.
