Animal Kingdom has always been my favorite park...I'm glad everyone is starting to finally appreciate it. I'm a marine biologist and PhD student, I remember during my college program in 2010, everyone said I only liked Animal Kingdom for the animals, but now everyone knows there's much more: great attractions, shows, food and now nighttime experiences. *Also on the captivity note, Animal Kingdom is a much different situation than places like Sea World or even other zoological facilities. It's AZA approved, home to many ecologically extinct animals only found in captivity and needed for breeding programs. Unlike most marine parks where animals like Orca cannot be adequately held in captivity, many others can and thrive.

John Johnson thanks nice to know . I love zoos because I love animals ...but I cry at zoos because I love animals . Was it Samuel Adams that said : I’d rather have 10 min of freedom than a lifetime of bondage ? I feel like animals feel this way ....so much so I can’t stand to see a bird or a snake in a cage ....I have a hard time using a leash on my dog ( I have trained her ...and it wasn’t hard , she’s a gsd , to not wAnder ) . I have been told I’m odd to have these strong feelings but I have had them my whole life .

I always get a tear in my eye when we go to Festival Of The Lion King and they get the kids out to dance at the end. When they get the special needs children out there and you see them dancing and the smiles on the children's faces, i am a grown man and i cry every time. That is why Disney is special!!!

I feel that magic kingdom is the hottest park because there is no shade. Animal kingdom is shaded and nice.

9:14 - I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. That was one of the things that really made me fall in love with the park on my visit. Standing on those bridges and just looking around at the scenery and feeling like I'm somewhere totally different in the world. I'm pretty sure I stopped to take pictures on every one of those bridges, especially that one in Africa.

I could literally spend my entire week in Animal kingdom. It's such a peaceful beautiful layed back place to be. I too, could watch the animals on the trails for hours...

My family and I were at animal kingdom when Everest had its first soft opening and we were asked to ride the coaster. The yeti was awesome!!!! It is still my favorite coaster at Disney’s! The trails are one of my favorite things to do. It’s nice to go to a park you can enjoy without waiting in line for a ride if you choose.

When going to WDW I like to spend multiple days at AK just walking the trails and exploring the Tree of Life Garden using that time to decompress.

As someone who travels with dietary restrictions now, Animal Kingdom gives me such a variety of options for snacks and meals. It takes all the food stress off my trip! I also love every other thing mentioned in this video lol. Animal Kingdom is, by far, my favourite Disney park.I can spend multiple days of my vacation exploring and finding unique little spaces around the park and watching the animals. The attractions are like a great big bonus to an already amazing environment. I honestly can't recommend Animal Kingdom enough to people.

The heat effect is amplified by the lack of airconditioned rides. Most of the park is "out doors" so there are fewer places to get a 20-30 min blast of AC. I think it can very much be a cumulative effect for some people.

The music is, by far, the best background music at any park! I can listen to the Nomad Loop all day.

Well said Craig! I used to feel that way about the Lions on the safari as Ryno does about the tigers. I went a couple different trips with never seeing a lion. Recently my timing has been better and have gotten some great views of the lions. Last time I was there we got to see the tiger cubs. I also think it has some of the best live entertainment. I love AK.

Absolutely love Devine...holy cool. Experienced Space Mountain as a kid, amazed, lucky to ride Expedition EVEREST as an adult, pure exhilaration and thrill.

Behind Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom has always been my favourite park at Disney World - even before Pandora was added. Some great rides (Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur), some awesome animal exhibits and safaris, some excellent shows (Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo The Musical) the glory that is Pandora (and this is from somebody who thought Avatar was just mediocre) and a murder's row of good restaurants and quick service (Sautuli Canteen, Flame Tree BBQ, Tusker House, Tiffins, Yak and Yeti). Overall it's the park I spend the most time in after MK.

I've always had awesome experiences with cast members at AK. Whether its the cultural ambassadors, animal experts or the Wilderness Explorer Guides they have always added to the atmosphere immeasurably. They seem to be the only park cast members that are excited to share the park with guests. They seek you out to let you in on easter eggs and seem to be observing you and give more info if you are lingering in an area.

I love Animal Kingdom. It was my favourite park to spend time in when I went alone a few years ago. I understand why it feels hotter, so much of it is outside but I don't think it's that bad at all. Plus anteaters are my fave so I can easily stand and watch those guys forever. As far as food goes we always love Flame Tree BBQ, especially the seating view! Haven't been since Pandora opened though.

Since it opened in 1998 and we were there for opening day, Animal Kingdom has become my favorite park! Every time we get to Orlando, I have to set a day to go to Animal Kingdom. A few years ago, we did the Wild Africa Trek and it was the best $200pp we spent!!! Love everything about it❤️

I too agree that some of the best food options are at AK but you can’t deny that Epcot has the best variety of foods. I also think that it is now a full day park - or maybe two half days. I agree with Craig that at its heart AK is all about animals - don’t like to use the word zoo as it’s much more immersive than a zoo. I also appreciate the authenticity of the different regions in the park. And nothing beats Pandora to me - has to be experienced during the day and the night. For those interested in photos around the parks, I think AK has the best photo spots.

Becca Sue Agreed! I’ve never understood people saying it’s hotter there. Maybe because I’ve always lived in humid states and am accustomed to humidity, I don’t know, but the shade there makes it more bearable to me!

We love restaurant-asaurus. The food is bland, but my family of 10 have always been able to find a big table, plus refills are free. Those things can make or break a trip

TOTALLY LOVE AK. It is easily my most favorite park in WDW. I love the theming I love the rides, I love the safari - everything about it. The food, the people. It's my happiest of happy places.

The temperature in the Animal Kingdom easily averages 10 degrees hotter than any other place on Disney property. This is due to the dense vegetation which has created a "rain forest" effect.

I was lucky enough to see the real Yeti during the first year. That arm is long and scary. I also feel the heat more in AK, especially in the Harambe area. But I like the heat.

I had to 2 days at AK @ beginning of february. I loved it. Was a park to relax, listen, see the animals, great shows, great food & drinks. I was a very happy girl there. Had only the same relaxed feel @ world showcase. Se have a very beautiful zoo in Belgium, Pairi Daiza. The architecture is even better than AK, but they definitely miss the food and the music.

Great show !!! I wish so bad I could have seen all of Rynos and Cory’s tee shirt !! Cory had an orange bird shirt I only got a glimpse of ....and it looked like Rynos shirt had a loop for his chain to go through !!! WAs that my eyes playing tricks on me ...my eyes are bad ??

Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. I seeing the animals is my favorite part. It has my favorite restaurant tusker house. i have visited in three previous trips i can't wait for my next trip in May so I can spend as most time i can there. Tusker House, Dinosaur, and Maharajah Jungle Trek. When we were down in January for 2 1/2 days before a cruise, AK is the only park we scheduled a full day in. It is also the only park where I sought out a shop for a sweatshirt ....and then wore it the whole day! Definitely not the hottest park for me.

Animal Kingdom is my favorite park of them all and I get so upset when people say it’s a half day park! People who say it’s a half day park are only there for rides and if you go by that then only MK is a “full day park”. These parks are about experiences and theming and full on immersion and Animal Kingdom by far is NOT a half day park. #RantOver *I pulled a Rino there for a minute. Never forgetting his rant about the new cars “attraction” building 😂

I thought our Kilimanjaro Safari was extremely rushed. The guide we had gave so much information , talking constantly , fast sounding very scripted . It would have been more enjoyable had there was less talking had more time on the ride.

I hope to see the Nemo show for real one day! I didn't care for the film as much (too slow for me). I connected with the story when seeing the marvelous clips of the production itself (the puppeteers, the stage settings, etc.) and hearing the fantastic music from super soundtrack squad Lopez & Anderson-Lopez

IMHO, DAK is better than EPCOT for cultural immersion. I love the natural authentic feel of the park. (Excluding pandora) I love the cast, and the shows, and I love the music and dancing in the streets. It just feels authentic.

AK used to be my #4, half day park, but over the years, it has become my #1 2 day park. I love it. The only thing that is a negative, for me, is they took away my Flights of Wonder, and replaced it with a horrible character show, that includes a few birds........

I must be an old lady because these young men wearing their hats indoors is so strange to me! Hats aside, thank you for an informative video. We went to Animal Kingdom three years ago (pre-Pandora) and did not enjoy it. However I know now that I just didn't do enough homework before we went. We missed things simply because we didn't know they were there! We will not miss that stuff this next time!

Craig PA buddy,you must be from Eastern Pennsylvania because the Pittsburgh area got BBQ places that make flame tree BBQ just acceptable. what places on Disney's property do you think have better BBQ than Flame tree? Food is awesome. I'm the oddball within my group of friends as far as this opinion, but it might be my favorite park.

The only thing on this I’ll disagree with, is saying finding Nemo is arguably one of the best shows in WDW... it’s awful! The stage performance is well done but the songs are horrendous. In my humble opinion of course.
