Love this new series, you guys! And love Steve's commitment to the People Mover. I feel like it's these slower moving rides that we respect and appreciate more as adults, as I didn't ride it for the first time until I was 24 and thought it was just lovely! Also, we have a discussion topic of Best & Worst: best and worst seats on WDW attractions or shows. We were fortunate to get the front seat several times while visiting Disneyland for the first time last week and riding DL's Pirates for the first time in the front seat (and then again on our second ride!) really made a difference when it came to experiencing the drops - like seeing the caves sprawled out in front of you - and also provided the feeling of "being in our own world". Would love to hear a discussion about this, and yes, I already agree with you about Soarin'! We sat in the far back corner on our first ride and REALLY saw the curve of each scene, what a difference sitting in the front middle on our second ride! (Which we'd done before in WDW.) Thanks!

Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion tied for second 3. Peter Pan and Test Track tied for third 4. Maelstrom and Great Movie Ride (I know, both are gone) tied for fourth 5. Seven Dwarfs (okay, I can handle this one too) and Small World. (Tied).

My top 5 (based on nostalgic factors and certain physical limits I have): 5. Toy Story Mania - Great theme, new, essentially a better version of Buzz Lightyear SRS. 4. Big Thunder Mountain - Again love the theming, love seeing the town scene both on the ride and passing by via the train, would be higher if I could ride it without needing to premedicate (yay Meniere's :/ ). 3. Flight of Passage - still holds a lot of magic for me and was my child's first 10/10 ride experience (an absolutely wonderful memory) 2. Living with the Land - my favorite ride since childhood. I was fascinated by the hydroponic farming and adore the rain and farmhouse scenes. It takes me back to childhood each time. (Can't wait to do the tour!!) 1. People Mover - I agree with Steve. I could sit there and travel tomorrowland all day! (And if only I could have a Dole whip while riding...🤔)

It's so funny that Steve said that as a kid he was more afraid of the boiler room on TOT than he was of the actual ride. The same thing happened to my son the first time we decided to go on that ride. I had to take him out because he was terrified. He wouldn't go back on for many years.

Shane, it was an audio animatronic based show in the Land Pavilion (located in the space where Soarin’ now stands). Basically, foods and condiments came to life in a giant kitchen themed set and sang songs about good nutrition. It was hosted by a “cartoonized” human lady audio animatron named Bonnie Appetite. It was replaced by a show called “Food Rocks” which was an attempt to modernize the original show with songs sung by Sting and more contemporary performers at the time. I would imagine you can probably view “Kitchen Kabaret” on KZbin

343Films I put LWTL on my list because I felt like I had to include Epcot. I liked Test Track but I haven't been on it since they basically gave it to the Tron treatment. I was in the queue for it but the ride broke down and just after they got it repaired it started to rain. Spaceship Earth is good but it needs a refurbishment. LWTL is fascinating to me particularly because I went to an agricultural centered high school.

@@mdf3530 I feel the same way about Test Track. I loved the old version, and it would probably make my top 5 list if it hadn't changed. Now it feels like cheap Tron, which is especially a shame now that an actual Tron coaster is coming to Magic Kingdom. I've also loved LWTL since I was a little kid. It's extremely nostalgic for me, and I've always loved that it's actually an educational experience in line with what Epcot originally stood for.

I’m with Corey. I absolutely love the theming in Tower of Terror but it’s been a few years since I’ve been on it because the last time I went on it, we had to switch elevator shafts because the seatbelts weren’t working and I was terrified for the rest of that experience and I never went on it again. (Also I have a reoccurring nightmare of being trapped in an elevator sooo that doesn’t help either!)

Love the list guys and agree with what you have but mine would be in a different order - however from previous visits I'm surprised that 7 dwarfs mine train isn't mentioned more considering its repeatedly got the longest stand-by ride of magic kingdom. Also, 'Its a small world' could be the greatest creepy ride if the lighting was changed and the music was swapped for something sinister - for a Mickeys not so scary perhaps?

It just leaved my pocket and starting approach the border of the ride, fully commited into performing sudoku into the darkness of the abyss. Luckily enough I realized just in time. I love the people mover and I love all Steve’s picks but my #1 ride is Peter Pan !! I am old (50 🥴) and pre video ...but we had listen / read along record albums and I was obsessed with Cinderella and Peter Pan....so I was obsessed with the castle and Peter Pan ride !!! I too always wished it was longer !!! Peter Pan better never be taken outta that park ...I might just become one of those crazies that chain themselves to a ride or something !!

@@mdf3530 I know a lot of people would believe the same thing and while I do agree the burp is nasty, I'm the kind of guest who likes to feel immersed or lost in another place and I feel like this attraction does that perfectly. People do get uncomfortable on this, but I never have. Stitch is my favorite character too, so that's another big reason why too.

Unfair. If you think the ride is going to make you sick, and it is a violent ride, even if you provide informational service you shouldn't be required to do it. Stay off of it until you feel ready. And if you never do so be it. It's not worth your health.

If you think about it, Soarin + Star Tours= Flight of Passage lol. It uses the Soarin seating mechanism and smells with the Star Tours 3D affect. My “Chaney’s Best Attractions at WDW” list would have to be: 5. Living with the Land, 4. Flight of Passage, 3. Splash Mountain, 2. Pirates, 1. Haunted Mansion. I love Tower of Terror, but the Great Movie Ride was really my only “must do” at Studios and absolutely would’ve made the list. I wanted a list that combines history, education, technology and storytelling. Living with the Land might be a stretch for many, but I would argue it captures the best of Walt and what his vision was for Epcot and WDW as a whole.

I totally dig the Wed peoplemover too. It was my favorite ride during my first trip to WDW in 1979 and has remained in my Top10. Nostalgically, I wish the DIS would do a Top5 of favorite Extinct attractions (maybe you've done this). Obviously, we would need to get inputs from the vets on staff since some these rides are before the young crew's time. Ill give a Top12 since my list is long: 12) Body Wars (mostly bc of my adolescent crush on Elisabeth Shue) 11) Mr Toad 10) Food Rocks - Cheesy as hell but loved it for some odd reason 9) Honey I Shrunk the Audience 8) Cranium Command 7) Journey into Imagination 6) If you had Wings 5) 20K Leagues under the Sea 4) World of Motion 3) Alien Encounter 2) Great Movie Ride 1) And the best Disney attraction of all time --- HORIZONS We need that Old Kingdom or Extinct Attraction park. I feel so sad for my wife who is a big Disney fan like myself, missed Horizons by 1 year. Actually I feel bad for anyone that wasnt able to experience that quintessential Walt Disney family attraction. That euphoric, hopeful feeling you got while and after riding the big H is what made WDW so special to me.

Very interesting...I am also too chicken to do the tower. I have only done spec mountain once. It was my first visit in sometime in the 1970’s and I remember the warning in the cue. I thought, this is the mouse, what could it be? I left in tears and felt like rhino that I would thrown out of the ride and splattered onto the walls. I might be recovered with a spoon.
