Hi Sarah, I know this was a little while ago- how did this level go for your family? Were you able to transition straight to regular non-levelled books and the spelling you see program? Thank you for these previews!

Yes we were able to finish the Happy Cheetah program and by the end Mariah was ready to jump into early chapter books (magic tree house, Sophie mouse, etc.). She also started with Level C in Spelling you see (but I would recommend having your kiddo take the online placement test before choosing a specific level).

@EverydayHomeschooler are you able to share how this program incorporates phonics, or is that too big a question for a comments section? 😂 are the students learning vowel digraphs etc ahead of reading them, or learning in the context of words? Would they learn the main reasons why we would add silent e, for example, or are there no rules at all? Thanks for any insight you may have here!

I drink liquid I.V everyday as well. What a brilliant idea of mixing with tea!

Do you have a review of Happy Cheetah grade 2 after having used it? If so, I’d love to watch it. This will be my first year homeschooling my 3 kids and I plan to predominately use Gather Round unit studies and a math program for our first year. My kids are 7,10, and 11 (will be in 2nd, 5th and 6th grades in the fall) my youngest is reading at a first grade level but may need a reading program in addition to Gather Round to grow her confidence . Would you recommend Happy Cheetah grade 2 even if she didn’t complete the other levels (she was in private school for pre-k through 1st grade)

I have not made a video about grade 2. My daughter just finished it this year and I will be chatting about my thoughts in my curriculum wrap up video (coming soon!). Happy cheetah has worked wonders for growing my daughter’s confidence in reading. I would definitely recommend it! And yes you could definitely jump in at grade 2 without doing the earlier levels.

I found Dr Holinga because of you! My daughter just finished Happy Cheetah completely! She loves to read all because of Dr Holinga, but I never would have found her if not for you!

Same! I tried out Happy Cheetah because of you too. I do have a question: Do you use a separate spelling? My daughter is using the 1st grade level. She is getting ready to start Cub Running.

I bought the entire Happy Cheetah set last year but they did not send the level 3 reading books and reading list. Is that a new thing.?
