In this video we show you how to divert water away from your home and patio by using channel drains, downspout drains and a sump pump system to pump the water from the backyard to the front onto the street. This home was experiencing extreme flooding that was entering in through the sliding glass doors and destroying the inside. A drainage system will solve this issue.

Love the content dude! Have thoughts of trying to get my own company off the ground. Have some experience as a landscape designer/salesman/project manager for a rather large company. Did a lot of drainage work and fell in love with it strangely enough. I am no expert and have no room to tell you what to do when you’re a successful contractor and i am not. But If I can offer one piece of advice I’d say cover that glass up with something when you’re doing that kind of work next to it. At least some cardboard. At the very least it’s some extra peace of mind for you and your client.

Thanks , for not promoting the 12v toys from the home centers for back up batteries for sumps pumps . We tried them for a few years , but when the water comes in the sump pit as fast as it being pumped , the 12v back up sumps will never keep up. We 25 years we bought a Xantrex RV inverter that can easily hand a 15 amp sump . We ran off the unit with 2 6v golf cart batteries that would gave us about 21 hours of backup
