Criminally underrated channel. Thanks for all the work and info, i've learned a lot about Diving. My Grandfather was a recovery diver. I cannot dive myself due to health issues from the past, so it's amazing to live through you guys.

@@DIVETALK Gus, do you have links to the follwoing items in your dive locker. The Stainless steel plugs that you install in tank valves when not in use? You appeared to have small diver down stickers with your name on the bottom of the sticker. Cool where can I find those? Link to where you bought the Red hang tags with key ring with your last name stitched in white letters to mark your gear Where you bought the hang boxes in the peg board in your dive locker to hold things like your gloves, masks, etc. Links to items shown in or referenced in your videos and listed in the description are always welcomed. Moment of realization after being hooked for last week on this channel. It goes like 4h a day on my screen why I`m busy with my handwriting practice. And I`m amazed how I can enjoy something that I`m so freaking afraid of. I have heard hundreds of times that people leave comments like "there is nothing to see except wet rocks" but here is my logic why I can enjoy watching this so much: when people watch skydiving videos and they are absolute afraid of heights they don`t leave comment like that on those videos. People shouldn`t be afraid to enjoy things they are scared of, there are ways like this channel where I can see that without going there, works for me! I wish this channel and awesome persons behind its production never ending successful future!

Love the channel and sweet setup. Only thing I will say coming from the RC world charging batteries in a wooden enclosed space is a notable fire hazard. It is rare but rechargeable batteries can certainly go nuclear in pretty impressive fashion so doing something to fireproof that shelf could be a very worthy time investment.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having a scuba storage. I have a scubapro MK17, MK25, Apeks DST and Apeks flight for travel. Scubapro knighthawk bcd, cressi aquaride elite and a dive rite ving. 2 drysuits and 2 wetsuits. Cressi calibro mask, scubapro vu, mares x vision and beaver tri-view. Scubapro jetfins, mares avanti quattro and scubapro twin jet. 3 different computers, way too many torches and spare parts. Geez I realise I must have spent a fortune on dive gear.

Nice dive locker Gus! Up here in the north, we store our gear in several places at our house. Almost everything lives in the garage during the summer, but come winter, much of our gear has to come in the house. Needless to say, our gear is quite scattered during the winter months. Great channel, by the way! Love it!

SCUBA diving is wonderful hobby for many obvious reasons. One thing you may not know going in is that 99% of the people involved in the industry are super cool and it's real easy to make life long friends, especially if you go on some killer dives/trips together.

My Poseidon Black Line mask works great with facial hair but it’s also due to the shape of my face. It might not work for you.

It really depends on the shape of your face though, Woody got the same mask and had to return it because it didn't fit. Having said that I use the Poseidon Black Line Mask. There is a link on the description of this video that details all of the gear we dive with and there are links to websites where you can buy, but if you can buy from your local dive shop that would be even better!

How do those stainless steel plugs stop the air from coming out of the tanks??? All my gear was Scuba Pro, I had to sell it all years ago and I was never able to afford to buy all new gear, it really hurt me to have to sell it all, but I had no other choice. I really miss diving! 😦

Because the plastic plugs can’t hold the pressure of the tanks but the steel ones can.

How can masks be adapted so folks who need prescription lenses can see when diving? Back in the day, my dad took the prescription lenses from his old glasses and used epoxy to glue them to the inside of the mask.

My local dive shop is 100% telling me, "you CAN NOT dive with a beard. NO MASK will seal around it. It's impossible. Forget about it." But I've seen quite a few masks advertised online that claim to work well with beards. I don't want to have to buy a mask online, because you want to try it, but, do I have to?

I have the rk3s not the HDs as they didn't have xl at the time, I hear conflicting things im told by the company that the HD isnt a better product just different ( density ), an instructor basically said to me on my open water course a few months ago id need the HDs. there both the same price and I like the normal ones and don't want too fork out to by HDs. im a big guy 19 stone. whats your opinion guy?

Most dive shops have an instructor uniform. Ours is an Atomic shop and we wear Atomic mask, snorkel, and (split) fins when teaching.

But I get it's a dive channel and someof that stuff is personal. But always interested to see what other KZbinrs are doing and how they got into the hobby. @@stevedenruyter4902 I’ve only used them once and didn’t really like the feeling. It felt like breathing inside a sauna. This year I purchased a Sidewinder and did not opt in for the heaters. The heater is an extra feature you can add when you order a rebreather, when I ordered my Spirit I added all of the options available and that included the heater. I figured since I was doing a big investment I might as well get the top of the line Spirit, but then I realized I didn’t really like the feeling. It’s like people who get a car with heater seats and then don’t use it because they don’t like the feeling.
