The FLEXICON slit divisible flexible conduit solves a number of problems in electrical installations.
Ideal for providing mechanical protection to pre-terminated cables. Can also be used to retrofit existing wiring systems where mechanical protection was omitted or perhaps has failed due to UV degradation.
This slit conduit is easier to install than PVC split conduit solutions.

Used this for years in industrial wiring. When you’ve got loads of Reed switches and sensors on moving equipment. Easily replaced when it wears. Good stuff 👌🏻

I love that stuff, especially where you can add the inner of one colour to another, that would come in really handy when you have to segregate the cables because of their use, All you would need to do is create a legend to explain your use of the colours.

How did I never know this existed!! Will come in handy in so many ways. I have EICR Remedial to do soon where meter tails have been stripped to single insulation outside the CU. Was thinking of putting in flexi but would have meant isolating and then removing tails etc, this is going to save the day. Looking forward to snapping it together too😊

Yet another fantastic product from Atkore. The time save in not having to pull cables through alone would make it worth while. One thing though, i don't remember you saying what lengths it came in? Apologies if you did. Thanks guys, always enjoy your videos. #StaySafe

I like that! I can think of lots of applications espially if it avoids having to desolder a pile of connections . There's applications in machine tools, automation... even automotive. Or just quick and easy tidyups. don't suppose they do a split y junction too?

Another tip for the team. My Company had a big job on in London for a well known biscuit manufacturer and we were installing equipment for a third party. There were lots and lots of control cables all going back to the main panel. I had a phone call from a seriously concerned Supervisor that the 20mm stuffing gland bodies were fine but the locknuts kept turning to dust when being tightened. I told him the solution was to obtain the PME split locknuts from a local supplier and use cable ties to stop the glands backing out of the panel when stripping and terminating the cables. The gland nuts could be retro fitted later on. No lost time on a very tight budget. He said he’d never heard of what I was talking about, to me I was talking tosh. I had seen this kind of Industrial ignorance shown by ex-housebashing council employees before so it was easy to make him look as silly as he was being. Three cheers for PME saving the day and my erstwhile reputation!

Gotta love seeing a brown and a blue connected into a light switch 😂. There’s a non corrugated flexible grey tubing, ERM or ERFE that will perform better than the flex IK wise.

it seems useless and over priced for new installations, but if you are retrofitting existing machinery, alarm/fire systems that cannot be disconnected, or say Emergency stop circuits that cannot be broken, in a house its a nice to have but in industry this may be a lifesaver

@@Savagetechie good call. I have always said that I am sick to death of people slagnging of Chinese products, most of my test gear is Chinese made and a lot of my tools had them since the late 80s and never had any problems and they are still going strong. Hell if people took a look around there homes they will find most of there applyences are made in China, yet they think nothing of it and are happy to use them daily , go figer
