The backhand blades are pretty awesome. I upgraded them as soon as I found them. I use them as backup weapons for my great katana.

I was most hyped for this boss fight before hopin into the dlc and after fighting him on ng+2 I can officially say he is the one of the most over the top weirdest hitbox bosses I've ever fought 😂😂 he's amazing but boy oh boy did I sweat out my crack tryna beat him

Similar experience. NG+ with 60 vigor. Giving backhand blades with a cold buildup a go to try something different considering how fast these bosses are. Man, if I get caught by one combo it puts me near death or in fact kills me almost every time.

He took those 4 hits at the end of the fight here and I thought he was cooked. Instead it did like 25% damage????? Felt like I almost had to perfect the dance to survive (which I'm fine with for a Fromsoft game)

6.21 ok I jumped for some reason when that fly thing grabbed you. Not as creepy as the scorpions but jeez. Did you play Bloodborne? Flies remind me bit of the big blood sucking mosquito things in the dlc.

I ended up using my +10 mimic tear with a +25 gargoyle twinblade with bleed and the npc summon(she's quite tanky surprisingly). I just wanted that chode to die fast after hours of dying lol

I am on NG+ and beat it with the glaive and a faith build. It was tough getting in and getting the fight started, but wasn’t too bad once I settled in. Tough fight though for sure.

Main thing I'd note if youre struggling EXPLORE. Scadutree blessings make a large difference and getting a few more through exploration is often worthwile
