Roman Catholic here. Went to my first Byzantine liturgy a couple of years ago. Still go on occasion to this day. So peaceful and beautiful. Some of the most helpful and friendly people I have met in a church setting.

Catholic - as in Roman Catholic? Or catholic - as in the adjective for the one true holy apostolic *catholic* church, the orthodox church?

They are catholics, so that the head of their church is the Pope. But at the same time, their eastern traditions has remained. There are lots of eastern catholics, especially in western Asia, Africa and in central- eastern Europe. The last mentioned are called "greek- catholics", even when we aren't Greeks. 😅 The reunion would solve the breakage between the two churches in 1054 but sadly, they couldn't agree for now. An interesting fact: in our credo, there is a part that could help you... "...I belive in one, holy, catholic, apostolic mother-church, I confess the baptism for excusing the sins. I am waiting for the resurrection of the dead and the infinit life, amen." I hope I can answer more and more questions of you. 😊

And then God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent and tell the Israelites that anyone who was ill or suffering from snake bites would be cured and made clean. Prefigurement of the cross and it’s depiction using precious metals…furthermore, St. Paul writes in his letters that those that touched his handkerchiefs were healed from their illnesses. And the book their kissing is the lectionary which contains the gospels and the letters of the New Testament. I would have thought you would appreciate at least that.

Protestantism is Counterfeit Christianity with Thousands of Different Denominations with Thousands of different Interpretations of the Bible. Absolutely No Unity. Just Scattered all over the place. 🤡 There is Only One God There is Only One Truth There is Only One Church And The Gates Of Hell Will Not Prevail Against It. And that Church is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Anything else is Counterfeit.
