I read recently that an atheist scientist was out to vehemently disprove the Shroud of Turin once and for all. At one point, he realized that the Face of "the man" that was wrapped showed clearly that his hair was about his shoulders, as if being upright, not falling back, as would happen with a person laying flat. He was beyond astounded, and backed slowly out of the room. He believed.

This scientist wanted also to disprove the "story" of His Resurrection . That moment when he realized the man wrapped in the Shroud was actually upright, and not laying flat when the Shroud was imprinted with the man's features of his face and body from the Intense Brilliance( at Resurrection, as WE know,) he then, out of fear and awe, and finally the realization that the Shroud and Resurrection are not just a story, he then slowly backed out of the room. He did finally believe.

Dr Gilbert Lavoie’s book Shroud of Jesus is excellent and goes into the vertical position of the body. The evidence, even with my clear confirmation bias, is overwhelming. Lavoie was also a sceptic and a former physician.

As a new Catholic this Easter… brought in by Divine Mercy… I just watch the show I am Faustina‘s life… can you tell me theologically why it was OK for the women to lie to buy the divine mercy painting… and why it was OK to lie to hide the confessor of Saint Faustina… and pretend he was a carpenter or a nun. I just am confused about lying and hiding being a sin… what does the Catholic church treat things like that. Thank you and God bless you.

I just watched a video of yours or you said it’s a mortal sin to gossip… where can I find a list of mortal sins that are grave… and is it true if I gossip and do not repent before I die I am in mortal sin and we’ll go to hell? Thank you but we do not know what sins are mortal, only God does. We know what sins are grave matter, such as sexual sins or slander or even missing Mass. However in order for those grave sins to be mortal the person must have knowledge and free will. That's what makes it mortal. God bless
