Mukilteo! There used to be a long fuel dock but it was demo'd. Try the Boeing dock in Mukilteo.
@revlic7 жыл бұрын
Check out the Boeing Dock nearby we saw rivers of them!
@SSPDIVING7 жыл бұрын
Ty Wyatt how do you get down there?? I want to dive there since the old dock is gone now but that's a hell of a surface swim. Haha
@revlic7 жыл бұрын
set google maps to "edgewater beach"
@SSPDIVING7 жыл бұрын
Ty Wyatt dude, I'm gonna have to check that out! Is there any restrictions on diving under the dock or is it a green light?
@revlic7 жыл бұрын
Green light. Just use common sense. A lot of people start their dive under the dock.
@SSPDIVING7 жыл бұрын
Ty Wyatt Roger that. Thanks for the heads up. I remember diving at the old dock before I had my gopro, hundreds of crab. It is thin pickings over at the mukilteo dive site.

Man!!! Thank you so much for this video I'm gonna be moving to Washington soon and this has my so hyped up!!! Can't wait to go scuba diving? Do you give lessons? Or recommend someone?
@seikibrian86416 жыл бұрын
It will depend on where in Washington you move to, of course, but I can highly recommend Evergreen Dive Service in Everett, which is the large city closest to Mukilteo. The water here is always cold, and Evergreen is the only school I know of that does all their training in dry suits at no extra charge. (I did mine in a wet suit only because I have a custom-made cold-water wet suit that fits me well...I'm 6'5" but only 210 pounds, so well-fitting suits are hard to find.) Evergreen does their confined-water class (including dry suit orientation on the second day) at the Forest Park Swim Center (heated pool) in Everett, and the open-water dives may be at Mukilteo, the Edmonds Underwater Park, or down in Seattle at Alki Point. (I did two of my open-water dives in Edmonds, and two in Mukilteo.)

I Highly reccomend "Eight Diving" located in Des Moines. Which is in the Sea-Tac area. They are close to a popular dive site and are knowledgeable and amazing peopel. I go there almost every day.

Don't move here! The place sucks shit. Shity weather, mass drug addicted street people, traffic is worst in the nation, the water in PS is deathly cold, house prices are super stupid, the state and local governments are marxists/communist, and all the police have quit and moved to other states.

Why do you have to check if the shell is hard?
@SSPDIVING4 жыл бұрын
Good question! If the Shell is hard, it means the crab has completely filled into it’s shell, which means it’s packed with dense, tasty meat. If the Shell is soft, that is a sign the crab recently “molted” it’s old, harder shell. This newer shell is bigger and since the shell is soft, we know there is not only less meat in he shell but is also softer and somewhat mushy. That is, until this new shell becomes hard and the crab grows and fills it in. The. The morning process repeats.

Nice video! Wondering if diving solo there is dangerous? How deep is this?
@SSPDIVING6 жыл бұрын
Qi Lu on this dive I don't believe I went deeper than 80 feet. Solo diving can be dangerous especially in the Puget sound with our strong currents. Solo diving can be done safely with the proper training.
@qilu63136 жыл бұрын
SSPDIVING thanks bud! I’m gonna checkout the place tomorrow with my buddy :) trying to be safe

How long did you have to dive for?
@SSPDIVING6 жыл бұрын
I was down for about 50 minutes on this dive. Although it was my first time diving there in years so I spent most of my time searching. Once I found them it took about 15 minutes to catch 'em all.
@jakethedog29346 жыл бұрын
What's that stick? I aint use it, just catch which i see. Since seals would still eat them.
@seikibrian86416 жыл бұрын
The stick is a home-made measuring gauge, also known as a crab caliper. You can make your own, or buy commercial ones like this: www.walmart.com/ip/Hurricane-Crab-Gauge/44667836
