Thanks for the nice comment. I appreciate it, and happy that you enjoy them. I don't really look for shells while hunting for teeth, but every now and then a nice one that isn't occupied by a creature will show up. If megladon have been exstinct for 10s of thousands of years why are their teeth found relatively shallow in the sand of the ocean floor ? With all of the storms that would have altered the ocean floor over those 1000s of years etc it seems they would be very deep . Or are the storms why they arent ?
@jessthepanda17276 жыл бұрын
Yeah and some people find Megalodon tooth that date back to just be 10,000 years old while Megalodon were said to be extinct millions of years ago. So it's very creepy... 😂
@b0bie8996 жыл бұрын
Idk the answer to that but they’re definitely extinct mate😂
@axeliaa21486 жыл бұрын
Your comment was hard to make out, no offense of course, but I think that storms don't cause artifacts or particual objects to actually get driven deep inside the sand, maybe the opposite. When I went to the beach with my family after some notorious waves I noticed that when I entered I couldn't feel the sand. That was all because of the waves, and well I'm 11 so maybe also cause I'm small. But storms can cause sand to move to other particular spots and brush off the sand from rocks or artifacts, making them easier to make out. Some oceans can be very very deep so a storm won't really cause any effect.

Brett West That’s cool. The teeth you got on this trip are very nice! Many years ago (1970’s) I was vacationing down in Jacksonville, FL and my friend asked me if I wanted to go “look for big teeth” where construction on the beach was taking place. They had dredgers digging deep into the sand and my buddy and I started looking through the giant piles. About 15min into the hunt, I found an amazing 6.4” meg in perfect condition. It’s still on my desk today and I’ve thought many times about going back to hunt for teeth again! Best wishes and keep up the hunt for us that can’t do it anymore :)

Sick video but how are you not worried about getting attacked by a shark? And what if a fish bites the air tube into?
@bwdig7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad you liked the video. Be sure to check out some of the others, since this was the first I ever did whle shark tooth diving. I've seen very few sharks while on this type of dive and most are harmless. The hoses providing air are pretty tough and would be very difficult for a fish to do any damage to one. I also always dive with a redundant setup, so should something happen to one, I have a second independent tank and regulator that I can rely on to get me back to the surface safely.

There might have been more but he was going so fast it was hard to keep up, but as a disclaimer on my part he may have been seeing them and could have just been picking them up on the fly, cause I know they really don't have a lot of time down there especially as deep as they were.
