Ignore if you've answered elsewhere in the comments, but I was curious about the step-like structures that appeared around 8:00-8:30. You find a couple of bullets there.

Every time you find a rod and real in the water, it brings me back to the early 1960's when I was around six. My uncle took me to a river to go fishing. We started out befor dawn. When we got set up it was daylight. When I got my line in the water, it wasn't long befor a big fish grabbed the worm and pulled the rod from me and into the river. My uncle said, as he jumped up to stay there and he ran off and disappeared into the trees. A moment later I heard a splash and a few moments from then, he came back with the lost rod and real. Later I caught the first fish ever, a large carp and after getting home, it was still flopping around while I poised for a photo. Wonder if if the photo is still around.

Congrats for not getting skunked, Chigger. Time for new gloves. I use the chainmail fileting gloves for moving gravel, just a suggestion. They usually last all summer. My recent finds worth noting about was three IJG Buttons on my recent trip to the Savanna River bank in Georgia. I stopped years ago detecting artillery shells, but there were lots of heavy iron signals. I am back now detecting around the Union forts in Washington State. The problem with detecting on WA state or DNR lands is we can't keep the finds.

My dad got peeved trying to catch Creek Bass, he got so frustrated that he tossed his expensive Shimano Rod and reel into the creek. I caught 11 bass using my 10 foot Browning Flyrod rigged like a Crapie rod and 1/16th ounce jigs. He was disgusted that he couldn't catch anything on his expensive gear. 😂 I offered to retrieve his gear, but he forbade me. 😅
