Enjoy! We won't be getting back there until April. :-(

As usual - another amazing vid. Gonna have to check this out for our next trip later this year!

Thanks guys! I wish I had filmed the entry when we first arrived in December. That whole sluice gate area was piled up with coral ruble from a storm and you could just walk in, easy breezy! Sadly, Cargill had to clear it out...what with it being a working salt manufacturing facility. Still, it would have been nice to show what it was for a little bit. :-) Don't skip the night dive!

I'm going to have to check out the tide pools at night on my next trip in August! Thanks for another great video!

Thanks Chris. Indeed, tidal pools are something that are going to get more attention for sure.

The briks are from fisherman they use them as anchor and yes they are allowed to do so. If they can get them back they cut the line and thats why there are some on the bottom

Thanks. The fishermen's use of bricks makes sense. Still, it's a bit sad to see where they land sometimes. :-(

Tide pools are the new thing. Been to Bonaire 3 times and at the end of the month were going to Curacao due to bonaire being packed. Any hints or tricks ? Never been before and it looks a bit more busy.
@TropicLens Жыл бұрын
It is certainly more busy John. The vibe is a definitely different. Its more urban and navigating is a bit more challenging. Make sure you have a map/app. As far as dive recommendations go, for shore dives, check out Rebel Diving. Daan will take good care of you and goes all over the island. For boat dives, check out Ocean Encounters. They have awesome boats. If you try them, tell Jeremiah and Pol we said "hi". For food, we like Sol Food in Westpunt, Poke Food Station mid-island and Brisa Do Mar south (Caracasbaai). We also have a number of shore diving videos to see some of whats there, but our favorites include Tugboat, Playa Piscadó, Directors Baai, Porto Marie and Superior Producer. WE could on and on if you have other questions. :-)

@@TropicLens thank you for the advice. Is it safe to take your phone with you for direction on dives? I know you would never do that in Bonaire
@TropicLens Жыл бұрын
@@johnmontgomery2735 Good question. Some sites, like Directors Baai, are fairly remote. At times there are lots of people, but other times you may be the only vehicle. I wouldn't leave anything in the car there. Others have parking attendants or lockers and are pretty safe (although not guaranteed). Those include across the street from Lion's Dive (Ocean Encounters) and Cas Abou. Still others have a fairly high amount of people around, making general break-ins uncommon. Caracasbaai, Marie Pampon and Blue Bay are some of those. Staffing and remodeling may change the status, so call ahead. Also, this may or may not interest you, but HotDive, SeaLife and Kraken all make phone housings. You can take your phone for navigation, emergency calls and the occasional selfie on land, plus you can take it underwater for photos/video...or just so it isn't in your car. Finally, you can get by with a traditional paper map. Its just much easier/simpler with GPS. Those roads look like spaghetti in some places. 🙂

Was meint ihr. LG

@@cobain0267 Hallo Coban. 🙂
