The baby fish was a young cod I think. It has a chin barbel so definitely not a pollock. Great underwater footage.

Hey! Thanks for the education and cheers for the compliment. I’d have been happier if it was slightly less green and snotty, but hey, this is UK diving!!

Andy, another very entertaining video, looking forward to some stuff from your Malta trip. By the way, the latest rendition of your beard looks well dodgy.

😂😂😂 It’s changed again pal! Had to give it a good old trim as had some interviews last couple weeks. Another tomorrow 🤦♂️ Yeah, I’m over in Malta with Brian Davies from the Brain Davies Scuba channel, so should be a cracking week 👍

Great video. I live in Northumberland and this is the first dive im going to do after completing my open water with PIDA. Just curious how deep do you go to be able to spot the seals/wildlife?
@UKDiver Жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the comment and good luck with the course. To be honest, anything from snorkelling on the surface down to 20m and you should see them. Like anything with wildlife, it’s hit and miss whether they will bother with you. We went a couple weekends ago and nothing. Go looking for other stuff and if you get some seal action, it’s a bonus 👍

We’ll I won’t be needing Katie any more as it’s been cancelled due to high swells 😭

Can you dive there also in December?
@UKDiver Жыл бұрын
I guess you could, but there would be a couple of issues. Firstly getting diveable weather in December will be quite the challenge and secondly, most hard-boats will be out of the water by this point for annual maintenance. But if you’ve got your own boat or a skipper willing to take you and there is a break in the weather, there is nothing stopping you.

@@UKDiver Hi, thank you for your reply. What about early november? Would that be better?
@UKDiver Жыл бұрын
@sensoryneuron6365 personally, back end of October / very early November is my limit for booking diving in the UK. Too much risk of getting blown out after that for me. Some say fortune favours the brave! I say “have a plan B - chances are you’re gonna need it!” 😂 If you’re keen to go, give some of the skippers a call and see when they are pulling boats out. That’ll be your hard deadline if you’ve not got your own / club boat 👍

@@UKDiver that's perfect, thank you for the advice. Also, is it possible to rent equipment there?
