The vintage snowflake performed well but was just not as tech as the Pelagos I’d still dive with my vintage snowflake in a pinch for sure. I think these things are meant to be worn but also respected and taken care of if that makes sense

The Tudor Pelagos 39 is the only modern diver from Tudor that invokes the spirit of the Tudor Submariner snowflake. The dimensions. The snowflake hands w/ the snowflake markers. The submariner triplock crown (it is a triplock). The submariner case. None of the black bays or other Pelagos watches does it. Only the P39. Which is why I have it.

For the last 3 or so years I have traveled all around the world and made many memories (good and bad). I’ve lost friends and met new ones, fell out of love and in love with someone new, taken risks and been rewarded, made mistakes and learned from them, and turned over a new decade of my life. So many things have changed ,and the only constant has been my black bay 58. Every scratch, every ding, every blemish tells a story. Having dealt with a lot of loss in that period it’s one of the only things that still remain, and everytime I look down at it on my wrist it reminds me how strong I really am. It reminds me of all the good and the bad things you have to face in life and that’s what makes life beautiful. Call me a sucker for nostalgia or being too anthropomorphic, but I believe that’s what watches and our insane love for an antiquated technology is all about.

If I was going diving I would use a dive computer and trust a dive computer. A dive watch in most instances just measures elapsed time which is then used as your bottom time.

Great video, good to see you diving with your watch , I dive with my NTTD Seamaster and it does make it feel more special for sure when you use it for the job intended, although some people on my last dive off Rhodes thought I was mad wearing such an expensive watch when diving and the dive leader he was wearing his newly acquired Starbucks so we did a fantastic watch shot lol

It's never too late to do a video on the Pelagos 39, always room for appreciation and yes, some criticism too. Do I wish it was a tiny bit smaller? Yes but then it might not serve it's purpose as well. Other than that, I agree that it's very much one of the greatest modern dive watches created. I love that you can do the quick adjust on the clasp one handed, it's really that easy and takes the watch to the next level of comfort.

My divewatch was my back-up. That old divecomputer you showcased is now my backup and I have a new one..... question do you have tables and a diveplan next to your tudor? If no, stick to your computer. - from a guy diving since 1993

All about redundancy for me and was diving with a Suunto Eon Core 3 dive a plan use a computer and have a dive watch for an extra element of fun and time keeping tracking 👌

Had a terrible experience with the Pelagos 39. The edges are sharp and unfinished, they used a cheaper titanium and fragments of the lume bricks were floating under the crystal like bits of dust. People seem to forget Tudors are machine made in series like cups of pudding to further fund the Wilsdorf foundation, and at the same time they ignore the hundreds of QC issues reported.

Interesting feedback for sure ai didn’t have any of the QC issues but i do know some of the early examples had some finishing elements they were working on did you send it back to Tudor they are really good about taking care of issues?

Ok, so what was the final outcome? I had an early Tudor GMT that had an issue with the date complication and RSC in NYC took the watch in and in a little less than a month I had it back good as new with no issues. Ive since purchased a BB58 and Ranger with no issues, but it’s good to know I have the backing of Rolex in case things go wrong.
