Hi, love your content, probably silly question, but what is the advantage of running this build with 4 points in hydro and so much magic emphasis when your damage is from special arrows and abilities? Would boosting dex to 23 ultimately not yield more damage mid to end game?

Why not bully? It's pretty easy to knock down most enemies, and bow damage can get insanely high with bully

Yoo, I just beat tactical mode with your guide and i dont think i would have been able to do it without your help. I just want to thank you for taking the time to make these guides as it made my tactical play through fun and challenging(but very doable). I am excited to play divinity 2 next :). I think this is the standard way to make divinity guides. I haven't started yet, but I assume it has something to do with the leveling system. I'm not really sure, but I agree that it certainly is insanely xonfusing for a new player.

I know I am late but it's really hard to understand which abilities to take first. Everything else is pretty straightforward but at what point do I take what abilities? It looks like you are recommending taking the earth skills first yet you cannot put a point into it in creation according to the way your guide is set up.

Is Light Stepper really worth it? Wouldn't it be better to take pet pals at creation and just take something else completely. or is the +2 perception absolutely critical for some of the secrets?

I just hit level 15...my ranger hail of arrows master only costs 8...but jahan with 13 int his hail attack is like 11 or 10.... is this normal hail attack cost a lot more? Both have 4 in exp markmn n hydro

I came across your guide and walkthrough via steam pages as I wanted to revisit Divinity with the Enhanced Edition and I like to know as much as I can before taking a plunge. Unfortunately, I have to mirror a lot of what other comments have been saying. The format of this video makes it difficult to digest and it is exceedingly long for relatively little information (don't get me wrong, you do go in depth but a lot of it would either be repeated or isn't part of the build specifically and may be better addressed in an overview video) There are also some other issues like sound levels being slightly off, start of the video is fine but when you show some gameplay the game sounds are really high and it almost sounds like you're shouting. It is also clear you did not write/stick to a strict script. While scripting is not necessary, it helps when you are trying to convey concise information and ideas in a directed manner. I honestly feel like you have a lot of good information and the idea is great, but I would suggest reworking the format, preferably into something shorter and if not going level by level, show how to start (as that is what most people will look at the video for) and then a small part for each significant level or breakpoint, perhaps even start with a montage of what a minmaxed character of this build can do by wrecking groups of enemies! After that it's down to having a good and efficient script, proper sound levels and your own style. I don't want to come across as rude, and I mean all of this in the most positive way possible, I hope you do well in the future man, all the best.

thanks for the guide. i disagree on the importance of getting bow to lvl5 as early as you do though. in my opinion it's better to get bow to 4 and use the gloves to reach 5, each level up to 5 gives 10% increased damage but the 6th one only 5%, also going from 150% to 155% is basically just a 3.3% increase. i would rather get more master level skills earlier on than spend 2 level ups for a meager 3.3% extra damage.

lol didnt even realize there were videos linked until the game was already over. i just read the stuff from the ssenkrad(sp) blog while playing tactician mode to level 9, said fuckit, and did honor mode with 4 rangers. really nice thing about multiple rangers, you can streamline lots of abilities and talents, for example, don't need anyone to tell me i dont need charisma, light stepper, petpal on both pc's, pretty obvious just put one on each pc and free an extra talent. taisana sondre and elessa can all build into near perfect rangers, just 5% less damage. game is easy early-mid, as you play them like 4 mages, and then late game you blast everything in one turn, don't even need glass cannon

This format is just awful. Why not do what every other build guide for every game ever made does because it is the best way to do it? "At creation pick this, this and this. At level 2 pick this, this and this. At level 3..." etc.

so how do I build the characters right? I checked out your guide on steam and it looks good, but I don't understand it at all. which skills am I supposed to take at creation on a ranger, please? I've had this game since early access and I still cannot do anything with it as there is a distinct lack of any kind of basic guide anywhere. (or at least that makes sense to someone who has not really played much of this game, at least since it's first inception on steam) I get your lists include levelling up as well, but I just want to know which are the best skills and stats to take for a new character, no mods. I was advised ranger and wayfarer and to make one a crafter... this was it. EDIT: ok the video is starting to make sense at least. ha ha, thanks.

Why learn firefly, on all 4 chars? fast track already gives the same, without the warm status effect (which can work against you) AND half the AP cost, not to mention it only returns 4 AP total and ok, a bit more movement per AP... but still...

I'm pointing this out encase you are monetizing, because it made your channel unappealing in general to me, where as normally I would have explored your other material and subscribed. Its just a crafted bow. To craft a bow add a bowstring (sinew + sinew) to a branch (log + knife). To increase damage add another bowstring to newly crafted bow and then add tenebrium damage (bow + tenebrium bar), after doing those two things if you don't want tenebrium damage you can change the elemental damage type by simply adding another elemental essence to the weapon (___ essence + bow) and that will change the damage type to that type (in the video it was "earth"). When you craft a weapon with 5 in crafting and 5 in blacksmithing (as per guide) your crafted gear has a chance to drop with extra features, the one you are looking for with bows is a "+1/2/3 Speed", to get the +1/2/3 to Strength and Dex you simply add a tormented soul to the weapon and to get the +1/2/3 Perception you simply add "a scope" to the bow (careful with using the scope as currently in the EE there is only a SINGLE SCOPE!) Once that is all done you will be left with a bow that has +1/2/3 to Speed/Dex/Str/Per with massive damage! For more information on crafting check out my crafting video found in the guide!

dude i have a question that I can't find conflicting answers to online and the classic version has outdated answers. Does +5 bow or 2handed skill stack with +3 tenebrium? Im saving up my ability points and am holding off on weapon skills to get +3 tenebrium. Thank you!

Sorry. But you say put 1 in charisma. But then you say having 5 in charisma is great ie spider queen. But I don't see charisma on the steps any higher than 1? Just a tad confused. Me and my friend are co oping this game and both loving your guide btw!

Jake Tn He says that you only need to put one because gear can take up the slack. Four pieces of gear with +1 to charisma and you have max charisma with only one point being spent.
