1:10:01 this feels like a great year for the Rams to draft a late round QB who they think has *potential*. Stafford isn’t getting any younger and it would be smart to start thinking about a (cheap) succession plan. Maybe they never see the field, but a young QB working with McVay for 1-3 years before being thrown to the wolves is as good of a development opportunity as any kid could get

Comparing the 4 regular seasons of rookies Jayden Daniels, CJ Stroud, Andrew Luck, and Justin Herbert with three metrics: EPA, QBR, and PFF Grade. QBR is essentially a modified EPA number because I think a large percentage of its formula it involves EPA and then making adjusting based on things like air yards (vs the receiver running after the catch and how much of the production was accomplished in garbage time--not within two scores in the fourth quarter). The PFF Grade is coming from PFF the EPA and QBR are both coming from ESPN. Jayden Daniels QBR 70.5 (1) EPA 98.4 (2) PFF Grade 89.6 (1) CJ Stroud QBR 58.3 (4) EPA 63.1 (4) PFF Grade 78.9 (3) Justin Herbert QBR 62.6 (3) EPA 102.3 (1) PFF Grade 79.9 (2) Andrew Luck QBR 64.3 (2) EPA 84.6 (3) PFF Grade 65.9 (4) Based on the hose metrics alone, it would probably go Daniels, Herbert, Luck, then Stroud In terms of supporting cast Washington PFF Team 2024 grades Receiving 74.7 (3) Pass Blocking 64.5 (1) Houston PFF Team 2023 Grades Receiving 80.2 (1) Pass Blocking 64.0 (2) Chargers PFF team 2020 Grades Receiving 78.3 (2) Pass Blocking 54.5 (4) Colts PFF Team 2012 Grades Receiving 73.7 (4) Pass Blocking 64.0 (2) So according to that Herbert had the worst pass blocking. Washington, Houston, and the Colts were all similar when it came to pass blocking grades. The Texans last year with Collins, Dell, and Schultz has the best receivers. Based on that I think Stroud had the best supporting cast, Commanders second best, Colts third best, and Chargers the worst. I was actually expecting the Chargers to having the higher PFF receiving grades because they had Keenan Allen and Mike Williams

Thank you for at least commenting on the Chiefs/Texans calls and not hand-waving the problem like a football eliteist like Nate Tice and his crew did. For the most part I tend to agree that calls even out. This is one of the few instances I think it affected the outcome. I hope we face then next year for a shot at redemption.

There was a minute and a half left after the two-point try. The Bills could have driven down and kicked a field goal before it went to OT.

1:02:59 Matthew Stafford lost the game on this play. The Rams ran a rub route to the left side with Kupp. Kupp was open for a 1st down, Stafford was looking at Kupp but for whatever reason hesitated on throwing the ball. Half a second later he got sacked by Carter.

Imagine dude taking a shot at Jalen hurts about his deep ball “ it’s easy to just throw the ball to AJ brown on some of these deep passes ” these media guys agenda with hurts is getting annoying.

A season long comp of “missed”illegal formation penalties on Jawaan Taylor the refs let slide is the easiest and most damning way to prove the collusion between the Chiefs and the refs. I know Laremy Tunsil was not given any leeway about how far from the LOS he could lineup. But the refs seem to be ok with Taylor lining up 3 yards off every single play as long as they call him for it once or twice a game and allow chiefs fans to counter with “he’s the third most penalized tackle in the league!!!!!”. There’s no other explanation for why he continually gets a free pass in a year where the officials put such emphasis on this specific penalty.

Imagine if Lamar Jackson had been the one lined up at CB and shoved over by Coleman instead of White... The Mahomes BS too... Pro-offense refereeing that's only concerned with boosting celebrity players' production, not a contest between offense and defense, does not allow there to be a sport. This isn't about referee mistakes, it's about the league pushing referees to sell a manufactured higher-scoring piece of fiction at the cost of having the best team win. Sport is a contest. Manipulating outcomes to sell individual celebrity players is sports entertainment.
@george4747472 күн бұрын
It's one thing having rules that promote offense, it's another for refs to ignore what actually happens and just reflexively throw a flag on the defender when they see contact. NFL marketing only cares about which direction the official is wrong in, not how badly, so they accept egregious calls and reward them for it. For fans though, it ruins the premise of having an NFL season. 'Erring on the side of' needs to be written out. To have a sport, rule enforcement must be about being right. (This isn't a complaint about officials, it's a complaint about allowing marketing to corrupt the sport.)

Really really sad to see these guys get into the officiating complaints. Bottom of the barrel commentary. There are bad calls in every game. Justin Reid was getting hooked on the blocked FG. No discussion about that. The penalties didn't swing the game. Mahomes' flop attempt was bad. The roughing call was technically correct. The unnecessary roughness call was obviously bad. Go look at all the other missed calls in the game. Again, bottom of the barrel commentary.

I mean. 2 KC drives that should’ve been dead - 10 pts. Not to mention momentum changing. The blatant offside on the blocked Houston field goal, a new (closer) FG or a continuation of the drive. Those are huge swings. I don’t think anyone believes there’s this giant conspiracy, but there’s a long history of big teams in sports getting favorable calls… and Chiefs have been getting them. The public outcry right now isn’t “just because”, even the players and coaches seem to be past it and not caring for the fines.
