That interview was great on the hiring of coaches and a great point about why teams should have a talent scout for coaches across the league.

Wow: you interviewed someone who 'wrote a report' on what I've been saying in the comments for Two Years. Fantastic.

Caleb was lightyears ahead of where the Bears staff thought he'd be. They just didn't know how to harness it.

Bears defense ny have to draft jeanty. Too many good bks to spend that high pick on jeanty with the oline issues and Dline needs improvement

How can Breer equate McCarthy's record to Tomlin's? One's had Prescott & Rodgers, the other's had Pickett & Wilson/Roethlisberger in their decline for the past decade.

Imagine if they draft Jeanty at 10

I'm not imagining it, I'm counting on it. It is the most jangling keys thing Poles could do in a year where they need to rebuild their offensive line basically from scratch.
@sNNNNNable5 сағат бұрын
Why would they do that? They need oline/dline
@boJi123 сағат бұрын
@@sNNNNNablethat’s exactly why they would do it.

@@boJi12 This is exactly why I feel like Ben is outsmarting himself: he didn't want to go to the Commanders because he didn't feel like the decision-makers in charge were football people. _Now_ look at them. The Bears? Poles has had three years to address the o-line. Their president refused to hire Jim Harbaugh last year? "But they're football people" doesn't mean a damned thing. Josh McDaniels & Matt Patricia are football people. When overwhelmed by too much, people simply create mental shortcuts. The thing is, no one is ever aware of themselves doing this. I think that his "these are football people" meme is one of these, where he equates that with them automatically being competent. But there's a video that spliced Justin Fields' college highlights with those of Caleb's & Fields is not only better than Caleb at every aspect of the game, Fields got better at them all in the NFL. The Bears actually accidentally proved this those 4 weeks after Fields called them out & they changed all their plays, then changed back. With the new plays, Fields elevated the offense to scoring 31 ppg the year _before_ they acquired DJ Moore. Poles could have traded the #1 pick for a wad & kept the better, more proven QB or traded the better more proven QB for a bag of chips. "But he's Football People." In far less of a sample size with a far worse receiving corps, Fields still made more highlight reel-worthy passes. He *still does* everything better at the NFL level than Caleb did in college.

@ I liked Fields. But how many game winning drives did he lead for the Bears in 3 years? Caleb had more in his lone season. more importantly, JF1 is not a franchise caliber QB you build a team around and giving him a 2nd contract would’ve handcuffed this team for years. Caleb may not work out. Ben Johnson might not work either. But at the time, it was the right move to make. And at some point the right decision will hit.

Robert is a smart dude. But you can always tell which guys just got married because they mention the wife in every story. In a few years, Robert, will say, “Who?!”
