Divoom Pixel Art Displays and More! (Pixoo and TimeBox Evo )

I have long waited to check these beauties out and really test them out! I spent quite a bit of time testing on my twitch channel and off and these are my findings. I take a look at Divoom's Pixoo and Timebox Evo. These Pixel art displays do way way more than you might think! Collect what you love!!

I had no idea something like this even existed but these look SICK. Plus having a giant clock to glance at would be pretty practical for me for the desk setup since I lose track of time CONSTANTLY. Probably gonna have to go for one :D

It would be great if future designs had no bevel and you could daisy chain them to make say a 16 piece square of one big image or diorama

On their site they have a image of a whole wall of the pixoos attached together its pretty insane! It looked like a place there would be concerts or something not sure

You can connect up to 4 Pixoo together in 'mirror' or 'concatenate' mode, which allows you to operate them within an APP. The whole wall thing is just a bunch Pixoo all roatating through the current month's HOT channel (dedicated for monthly updated top/popular community pixel art designs)

Hi, you can import and convert the picture/GIF via the "+" icon on the design or animation tile page. This is how some of our community user able to upload the whole 'Rickrolled' animation :)

Great stuff. I think I like the Pixoo a bit more. I still have my graph paper from when I was doing Mario Paint sprite design and animation. I could easily bring those or some of my WarioWare DIY sprites into this, lol! Stay until the end for some life-changing musical chair advice. 🤣

These seem pretty rad, but I'm not an artist or animator and having to rely on community uploads to possibly have something I'm interested in (which is unlikely) is what will prevent me from going for one of these. Thanks for sharing!

I was pretty shocked at how many were available. I think theyve done contests in order to keep it moving. But of course you can make your own animations and images for whatever youd like. So best of both worlds.

Sorry it took so long! That is an insert from ikea for wine bottles. www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kallax-insert-for-bottles-white-80401292/ when i saw it I knew it would be a cool display for something and amiibo fit perfectly. That being said I am certainly wasting some space but it feels worth it especially with the back lighting coming through!

I saw a bunch of Pokemon Sprites, but can you upload FInal Fantasy Sprites? Like, the character sprites from FF6, but also the spites for the Espers from FF6.

So theres no uploading of sprites necessarily unless you want to go through the process of making them yourself, that being said there are definitely ff sprites im the app ready to go! Best way to check is to download their free app , just search divoom on your phones store and check out all of the sprotes and artwork available. It lets tou save your favorites and uppoad those to the box. Hope this helps a bit!

Hi I just got myself a pixoo but I'm having an issue as I would like to display a single image / animation on my pixoo but after a few minutes it lands up changing the picture to random pictures / animations, is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Couldn’t you add the same image 12 times to keep the image the same. So for instance your logo in all 12 tiles.

for sure! but you can also just click an image youve chosen and click the download to box button and boom it will stay on. they just write it nowhere on how to do it so initially very confusing.

Or you can just add only your logo once, and the custom channel will only show/roatate through whatever is on there.

The app has thousands of things to pick from but yeah you can make your own too by hand. The app they have is free so you could download that to see whats out there just search divoom on your app store
